CROWN LANDS NOTICE

Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 5th August, 1947.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 6th October, 1947.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 8th October, 1947, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND
Clutha County.—Pomahaka Survey District

SECTION 38, Block I : Area, 10 acres 0 roods 17 perches. Capital value, £40. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Deferred payments : Half-yearly instalments (term: ten years), £2 6s. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, 16s.

Weighted with £15 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing and plantation.

The section is situated adjacent to Clydevale Post-office, sixteen miles from Balclutha by metal road. The soil is of light loam resting on clay and rock formation, and is watered by creek. The general quality of the section is fair, but infested with gorse.
