The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of
certain Grades

Wellington, 31st July, 1947.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing
Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose
bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered
to the Department during the undermentioned period.

Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st August to 31st
August, 1947:-

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical and Pharmaceutical
Services for the Residents of Tolaga Bay and Surrounding
District

I,
MABEL BOWDEN HOWARD, Minister of Health, hereby
notify for general information that, pursuant to section 82
of the Social Security Act, 1938, as extended by section 15 of the
Finance Act, No. 4, 1940, I have made special arrangements by
which all persons usually resident in the district described in the
Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the said district) are,
on and after the 24th day of April, 1946, entitled to receive, without
charge, at the hands of Paul Kurzweil, of Tolaga Bay, Registered
Medical Practitioner, all such medical and pharmaceutical requirements as are provided as benefits in accordance with the Social
Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941, the Social Security
General Medical Services Regulations 1941, and the Social Security
(Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941.

In accordance with the provisions of section 82 (2) of the Social
Security Act, 1938, the general provisions of the aforementioned
regulations in relation to medical benefits and pharmaceutical
supplies will not be applicable to residents of the said district for
the time being provided for by the special arrangements notified
herein.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District comprising Uawa
County, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1946, page 376 ; also
that portion of Waiapu County bounded by a line commencing at
the south-western corner of Tauwhareparae No. 3, in Block XIV,
Tokomaru Survey District, being a point on the southern boundary
of Waiapu County; thence northerly along the western boundary
of Tauwhareparae No. 3 and its production to the Mangaroa Stream;
thence easterly along that stream and the Hikuwai River to the
north-western boundary of Taumata Patiti No. 4, in Block XI,
Tokomaru Survey District; thence north-easterly along that
boundary and the north-western boundary of Nuhiti C 1B to its
northernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Nuhiti C 1B and C 1A and its production
to the sea, being a point on the boundary of Waiapu County; thence
southerly and westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement; also that portion of Cook County bounded by a line
commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 2, Block I,
Whangara Survey District; thence southerly along the western
boundaries of Sections 2 and 1 and easterly along the southern
boundary of Section 1, Block I, Whangara Survey District, to the
Otaiwai Stream; thence southerly along that stream and the
Waiomoko River to the sea, being a point on the boundary of Cook
County; thence north-easterly, northerly, and westerly along that
boundary to the point of commencement.

The Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its Amendments.—Notice
declaring the Army Department to be a Department in which
Apprentices may be taken

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its
amendments, the Minister of Labour doth hereby declare that the
arts and trades used and exercised in the Department mentioned
in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be arts and trades within
the meaning of Part II of the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908,
and that the officer named in the said Schedule shall be deemed
to be the master for the purposes of the said Part II of the said
Act.

The Licensed Hotels Labour Legislation Modification Order 1944
revoked

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby revoke, as from the
day of the date hereof, the Licensed Hotels Labour Legislation
Modification Order 1944.*

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licences under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture of Malt Extract

G. W. Stewart, care of Post-office, Blenheim, has applied for
a licence to manufacture malt extract.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

Messrs. A. R., C. F., and J. G. O'Malley (by Slater, Sargent,
and Connal, Barristers and Solicitors) have applied for permission to
change the site of their retail selling point in respect of eight pumps
installed at the corner of Office and Papanui Roads, Christchurch,
to a new site directly opposite the existing site.

G. L. Gutsell, Chaslands, Catlins, Otago, has applied for a
licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on
carrier's premises at Chaslands.

A. N. Lane and T. F. Cummings, 344 King Street, Dunedin,
have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to
be installed inside garage premises at 344 King Street, Dunedin.

E. T. Sonntag, Brockville Road, Kaikorai, Dunedin, has applied
for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed
on proposed service-station premises on the Kaikorai Valley Road
at the corner of Stone Street, Dunedin.

L. Western (by T. R. Duggan, Barrister and Solicitor, Auckland)
has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from pumps to be
installed on proposed new service-station premises at the corner
of Ponsonby Road and Pember-Reeves Street, Ponsonby, Auckland.

J. and W. Duffy, 204-206 Hobson Street, Auckland, have
applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be
installed outside garage premises at 204-206 Hobson Street, Auckland.

G. Bonney, Mataura, has applied for a licence to resell motor-
sprit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Mataura.

Westmere Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., Westmere, Wanganui,
has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to
be installed in an open yard outside factory premises at Westmere.

E. M. Hansen and Co., Ltd., Granity, has applied for a licence
to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on garage
premises at Granity.

R. J. Pennell, Waitahuna, has applied for a licence to resell
motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at
Waitahuna.

W. R. O'Brien and W. J. Chadwick, Great South Road, Ohaupo,
have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to
be installed on garage premises on Great South Road, Ohaupo.

K. Rowling, Tauhei R.D., Morrisville, has applied for a
licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store
premises at Tauhei.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than the 21st August, 1947,
submit any written evidence and representations they may desire
to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Acting-
Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908
(Part III), and Amendments

WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that
Charles Kennedy, of Port Waikato, Fisherman, is the
owner of the following property, the gross value of which is less
than £1,000, namely: Cash, £11; personal effects, £4; and
accrued age benefit, £1:

And whereas it is presumed that the said Charles Kennedy
was drowned on or about the 4th day of September, 1946, his body
unrecovered:

And whereas it is provided by Part III of the Public Trust
Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed property), as amended
by section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22,
that where the value of unclaimed real or personal property does
not exceed £1,000 the Public Trustee (with the consent of the
Public Trust Office Board) may, by notice in the Gazette, declare
his intentions to take possession of such property and exercise
the powers conferred upon him by section 87 of the Public Trust
Office Act, 1908, without application to the Court:

And whereas the said consent of the Public Trust Office Board
has been duly given:

Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he intends
to take possession of the property above mentioned and all other
property of the said Charles Kennedy, and to exercise in respect
thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by the provisions of
the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.
