The South-eastern Side of Portion of Clyde Street and the North-western Side of Portion of Tweed Street, in the County of Taieri, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1947
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Taieri County Council on the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz.:—
"The Taieri County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Taieri, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-eastern side of Clyde Street fronting Lots 40–46, Deeds Plan 33, and to the north-western side of Tweed Street fronting Lots 28 and 29, Deeds Plan 33, Township of Mosgiel Junction";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of Clyde Street or the north-western side of the portion of Tweed Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of roads.
SCHEDULE
The south-eastern side of all that portion of road situated in the Otago Land District, County of Taieri, known as Clyde Street, fronting Lots 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, and 46, D.P. 33, Township of Mosgiel Junction.
Also the north-western side of all that portion of road situated in the said land district and county, known as Tweed Street, fronting Lots 28 and 29, D.P. 33, Township of Mosgiel Junction.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124760, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Pursuant to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz.:—
"The Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of the west side of John Street, Ponsonby, fronting part of Lot 20 of Allotment 30, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of John Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE
The western side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as John Street, fronting part Lot 20 of a subdivision of Allotment 30, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125782, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointing One Non-elective Member of the Nelson Catchment Board

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 of the twenty-ninth day of the same month, Edwin Percy Wakelin, Esquire, was appointed a non-elective member of the Nelson Catchment Board in terms of section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941 :
And whereas the said Edwin Percy Wakelin has resigned from membership of the said Board, and it is considered expedient to appoint another non-elective member in lieu of the said Edwin Percy Wakelin :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby cancel the appointment of the said Edwin Percy Wakelin to be a non-elective member of the Nelson Catchment Board, and do hereby appoint John Andrew Peterson, Esquire, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Nelson, to be a non-elective member of the Nelson Catchment Board for a term commencing on the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and terminating on the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of July, 1947.

Appointing a Member of the Wanganui Harbour Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Roy James Campion to be a member of the Wanganui Harbour Board as a representative of those electors of the Counties of Wanganui and Waimarino whose qualifications are within the Wanganui Harbour District in place of George Avinar Hogg, deceased, to hold office until the third Wednesday of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of July, 1947.
