Abel Tasman National Park.—Board of Control appointed

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
July, 1947
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the ninth day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, and
published in the Gazette of the tenth day of that month, an area
of land in the Nelson Land District, containing some thirty-seven
thousand six hundred and twenty-two acres, more or less, as more
particularly described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council,
was declared to be a national park under and subject to the provisions of Part III of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act; 1928, and named the Abel Tasman National Park:
And whereas by an Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and
published in the Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of that month, a
Board was appointed to control the said park for a term of three
years, and it is desirable that a Board should now be appointed
to have the control and management for a further term:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by section seventy-three of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby appoint—
The member for Buller Electoral District, ex officio,
The member for Nelson Electoral District, ex officio,
The member for Southern Maori Electoral District, ex officio,
The Mayor of Motueka, ex officio,
The Mayor of Nelson, ex officio,
The Chairman of the Takaka County Council, ex officio,
The Chairman of the Waimea County Council, ex officio,
The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Nelson Land District,
ex officio,
The Conservator of Forests for the Nelson Conservancy, ex officio,
Frederick Giles Gibbs, M.A.,
Thomas Houlker,
Perrine Moncrieff, and
Claude Page Reilly
to be the Abel Tasman National Park Board, having the control
and management of the Abel Tasman National Park hereinbefore referred to, the members of such Board to hold office for a term
of three years from the date hereof.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hawtrey Domain

N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby appoint
The Johnsonville Town Board
to be the Hawtrey Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint
Wednesday, the twentieth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-seven, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Town Board Offices, Railway Terrace, Johnsonville, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
