HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:
REGULAR FORCE
N.Z REGIMENT
.Captain (temp. Major) B. R. Bullot relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Quartermaster-General (Quartering), Army Headquarters, dated 10th July, 1947, retains the temporary rank of Major, and proceeded to England to attend the Joint Services College, dated 13th July, 1947.
SUPERNUMERARY LIST, N.Z. REGULAR FORCE
The undermentioned are posted to the Retired List:-
Major J. A. M. Clachan, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 30th June, 1947.
Captain (temp. Major) A. P. McCormack, with the rank of Major. Dated 8th July, 1947.
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF
Temp. Major H. Holderness, M.C., is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Major. Dated 25th November, 1940.

Albert Simpson (late Sub-Lieutenant (A), R.N.Z.N.V.R.) to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is seconded to the Ngatea District High School Cadets, Area 2. Dated 4th February, 1947.
The North Auckland Regiment
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 46, dated 27th June, 1946, relative to the appointment of Cyril Charles Wild as 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.), is hereby cancelled.
Francis John Thorburn (late Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.Z.N.V.R.) to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is seconded to the Ruawai District High School Cadets, Area 3. Dated 1st June, 1947.
N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT
The Rev. Herbert Ralph Hadfield to be Chaplain, 4th Class (Church of England). . Dated 13th June, 1947.

Lieutenant R. H. F. Holloway is appointed Staff Captain, "A" Branch, Army Headquarters, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 16th July, 1947.
SUPERNUMERARY LIST, N.Z. REGULAR FORCE
Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) R. J. Eyre relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and retains the appointment of Camp Commandant, Burnham Military Camp. Dated 15th July, 1947.
Captain and Quartermaster W. H. McLenaghin is posted to the Retired List. Dated 17th July, 1947.
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF
Temp. Lieutenant K. J. Douglas resigns his commission. Dated 1st July, 1947.
