Notice of Age Groups appointed by the Minister for the Purpose of
the Social Security (Dental Benefits) Regulations 1946
P
URSUANT to Regulation 5 of the Social Security (Dental Benefits) Regulations 1946, I, Arnold Henry Nordmeyer,
Minister of Health for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the following age groups for the purposes of the said regulations, namely:
(a) Those persons who, in the last term of the immediately preceding calendar year, were enrolled in any class of a primary or intermediate school or department:
(b) All other persons who, for the time being, are under the age of sixteen years.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical and Pharmaceutical Services for the Residents of Te Araroa and Surrounding District

I, ARNOLD HENRY NORDMEYER, Minister of Health, hereby notify for general information that, pursuant to section 82 of the Social Security Act, 1938, as extended by section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 4), 1940, I have made special arrangements by which all persons usually resident in the district described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the said district) are, on and after the 21st day of May, 1946, entitled to receive without charge, at the hands of Joseph Lindsell Simcock, of Te Araroa, Registered Medical Practitioner, all such medical and maternity and pharmaceutical requirements as are provided as benefits in accordance with the Social Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941, the Social Security General Medical Services Regulations 1941, the Social Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941, and the Social Security (Maternity Benefits) Regulations 1939.
In accordance with the provisions of section 82 (2) of the Social Security Act, 1938, the general provisions of the aforementioned regulations in relation to medical and maternity benefits and pharmaceutical supplies will not be applicable to residents of the said district for the time being provided for by the special arrangements notified herein.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District comprising Matakaoa County, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2607, also that portion of Opotiki County bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Kereru Stream in Block V, Te Kaha Survey District, being a point on the boundary of Opotiki County; thence southerly along the Kereru Stream and the Hauhauponamu Stream to a point due west of Pukehina Trig. Station in Block VI, Raukumara Survey District; thence by right lines to Pukehina and Honokawa Trig. Stations, the last named being a point on the boundary of Opotiki County; thence northerly and westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 18th day of December, 1946, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 10th day of March, 1947, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement three hundred and twenty-four (324) acres three (3) roods nineteen decimal three (19.3) poles, more or less, being part Section 3, Block XVII, Longwood Survey District, being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 114, folio 179 (Southland Registry).

Revocation of the Taxi-cab Control Notice 1946
P
URSUANT to the Transport Control Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice and directs as follows:
- This notice may be cited as the Taxi-cab Control Revocation Notice 1947.
- This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of February, 1947.
- The Taxi-cab Control Notice 1946† is hereby revoked, the Auckland Taxi-cab Control District constituted thereunder is hereby abolished, and the Taxi-cab Control Committee appointed thereunder is hereby dissolved.
