CROWN LANDS NOTICES

Reserve in the Southland Land District for Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 8th July, 1947.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve is open for lease under the provisions of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 11th August, 1947.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants who should appear personally for examination on Wednesday, 13th August, 1947, at 10 o'clock a.m. at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill.

The successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

Wallace County.—Town of Ohai

Lot 43, D.P. 1934, being part of Section 182, Block III, Wairio Survey District : Area, 1 rood. Annual rent, £2 10s.

Terms and Conditions of Lease

  1. Term of lease: Twenty-one years from 1st July, 1947, with no right of renewal.

  2. Six months' rent, together with £1 1s. lease fee, to be paid by the successful applicant, and thereafter the rent to be payable half-yearly in advance on the 1st days of January and July each year.

  3. Lessee to pay all rates, taxes, and other assessments levied against the land.

  4. The lessee to have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land without the prior consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Invercargill.

  5. Lessee not to engage in any noxious, noisome, or offensive trade.

  6. Lessee to keep land and roadside free from all noxious weeds to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

  7. Lessee to obtain the said Commissioner's consent before effecting improvements, and to maintain any existing improvements to the satisfaction of the Commissioner.

  8. Lessee to keep land clear of all noxious weeds.

  9. Lease subject to termination if lessee fails to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease whether expressed or implied within thirty days after the date on which the same should be fulfilled.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 19th August, 1947, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

SECTION 651: Area, 33·8 perches. Capital value, £375; half-yearly rent, £9 7s. 6d.

The section is a good building-site situated on Paritai Drive, Orakei ; city drainage and other facilities ; in a first-class residential area. It is handy to bus services and within a few minutes of the city.

Applicants must be ex-servicemen, and produce certificate immediately of eligibility for a rehabilitation housing loan.

Waitemata County.—Waiwera Parish

Lot 232 of Allotment 279 : Area, 33·4 perches. Capital value, £125 ; half-yearly rent, £3 2s. 6d.

Lot 235 of Allotment 279 : Area, 33·4 perches. Capital value, £125 ; half-yearly rent, £3 2s. 6d.

These sections are good building-sites, very handy to Orewa Ocean Beach, situated on Waiwera Road just off the main highway near the Domain, three miles from Silverdale, and about twenty-two miles from Birkenhead Vehicular Ferry. Access is by formed sandy road off main northern highway.

Applicants must be ex-servicemen, and produce certificate immediately of eligibility for a rehabilitation housing loan.

Applicants will be required to build a permanent home on the sections.

STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE

Land in the Auckland Land District acquired for a State Forest

State Forest Service,
Wellington, 10th July, 1947.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Taupo County, containing by admeasurement 2,132 acres 1 rood 19·8 perches, more or less, being parts of Kaingaroa No. 1A North Block, situated in Block XIII, Kaingaroa Survey District, and Block I, Weao Survey District, and being Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 27375, part Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 20886, and all the land on D.P. 24867 and D.P. 27347, and being the lands comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 651, folio 274, Vol. 651, folio 275, Vol. 651, folio 276, Vol. 698, folio 184, and Vol. 698, folio 185. As the same is delineated on plan No. 47/54, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
