Muaupoko Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the north-western corner of Waiwiri West Block, situated in Block I, Waitohu Survey District; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the northern corner of Subdivision 42C North, of Horowhenua No. 11 Block, being a point on the boundary of the Ngati-Huia Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of that area to the north-eastern corner of Subdivision 12 of Horowhenua Block, in Blocks VII, VIII, XI, and XII, Waiopenu Survey District; thence south-westerly along the right line between Arawaru Trig. Station and Mount Dundas to Mount Dundas; thence north-easterly along a right line to the eastern corner of Subdivision 53 on the plan numbered 442, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Subdivision 53, Subdivision 52A, on the plan numbered 440, deposited as aforesaid, Subdivisions 49 and 48, across a public road, again Subdivision 48, Subdivisions 46, 44, 42, and 40, all on the plan numbered 439, deposited as aforesaid, along a right line from the northern corner of Subdivision 40 on the plan numbered 439 aforesaid, across the Ohau River to the eastern corner of Subdivision 38 on the plan numbered 439 aforesaid, along the north-eastern boundary of the said Subdivision 38, across a public road, along the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision 37 on the plan numbered 439 aforesaid, Horowhenua No. 4 Block, Subdivision 34 on the plan numbered 439 aforesaid, along the south-western boundary of Lots 9 and 8 on the plan numbered 2463, deposited as aforesaid; thence along a right line across the Main Trunk Railway and a public road to the southern corner of Section 7, Subdivision 14, Horowhenua Block; thence along a right line to the eastern corner of Waiwiri East No. 1A Block, in Block IV, Waitohu Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of that block, Waiwiri No. 1B Block, and Waiwiri West Block to the sea-coast, being the point of commencement, and excluding therefrom the north part of the Ngatokowaru Tribal Committee Area hereinafter described.

Ngatokowaru Tribal Committee Area

All that area comprising the North Part and South Part as hereunder described:—

North Part.—All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-western corner of Subdivision 10 of Raumatangi 9A Block, in Block II, Waitohu Survey District; thence northerly, easterly, and again northerly generally, along the western, northern, and again western boundaries of the said subdivision, across a closed road, again along the western boundary, the western boundary of Subdivision 5 of Raumatangi E Block, across the Horowhenua Beach Road, again along the north-western boundary of the said Subdivision 5 and the production of that boundary to the middle of the Hokio Stream; thence easterly generally up the middle of the said stream to Horowhenua Lake; thence along a right line to the shore of that lake; thence southerly generally along the western shore of the said lake to a point in line with the southern boundary of Raumatangi No. A 13 Block; thence westerly generally to and along the southern boundary of Raumatangi A 13 Block, the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision 1 of Raumatangi 9A Block, across the Horowhenua Beach Road, the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision 2 of Raumatangi 9A Block, along the southern boundaries of Subdivisions 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 10 of Raumatangi 9A Block to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned subdivision, being the point of commencement.

South Part.—All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the north-western corner of Waiwiri West Block, situated in Block I, Waitohu Survey District, and being a point on the boundary of the Muaupoko Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly along the boundary of that area to a point in the middle of the Ohau River; thence westerly generally down the middle of the Ohau River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Subdivision 4 of Muhunoa Block, in Block IV, Waitohu Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of Subdivision 3B of Muhunoa Block to the sea-coast; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the north-western corner of Waiwiri West Block, being the point of commencement.

Tukorehe Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the northern corner of Huritini No. 8 Block, in Block VI, Waitohu Survey District; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the southern boundary of Subdivision 3B of Muhunoa Block, being a point on the boundary of the South Part of the Ngatokowaru Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence easterly generally along that boundary to the Muaupoko Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly along that boundary to Mount Dundas; thence south-westerly generally along the summit of the Tararua Range to a point on the production of a right line between Waitewaewae Trig. Station in Block XIII, Waiopenu Survey District, and the most eastern corner of Huritini No. 2 Block, in Block VI, Waitohu Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that right line to the most eastern corner of Huritini No. 2 Block aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the north-east boundaries of Huritini No. 2, 2A, 1, and 8 Blocks, across a public road, and again the north-eastern boundary of Huritini No. 8 Block to its northern corner, being the point of commencement.

Otaki Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Parahamuti Trig. Station in Block II, Kaitawa Survey District; thence along a right line due west to the sea-coast; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the northern corner of Huritini No. 8 Block, in Block VI, Waitohu Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Tukorehe Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of that area to the summit of the Tararua Range; thence southerly generally along the summit of the Tararua Range to a point on the production of the right line between Bridge Trig. Station in Block VIII, Kaitawa Survey District, and Parahamuti Trig. Station aforesaid; thence north-westerly to and along that right line to Parahamuti Trig. Station, being the point of commencement.

Waikanae Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast due west of Parahamuti Trig. Station in Block II, Kaitawa Survey District, and being a point on the boundary of the Otaki Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly generally along the boundary of that area to the summit of the Tararua Range; thence southerly along the summit of the Tararua Range to Mount Hector; thence along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 10, Block III, Akatarawa Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 10 and 8, Block III aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 1, Block XV, Kaitawa Survey District, to the Ngatiawa River; thence along a line down the middle of that river to the bridge on the Ngatiawa Road near Section 35, Block X, Kaitawa Survey District; thence along the middle of the Ngatiawa Road and the Waikanae-Reikiorangi Road to the northern boundary of Subdivision 23, Ngarara West C Block, and along that boundary to the Main Trunk Railway, along that railway-line to the middle of the Waikanae River, and along a line down the middle of that river to the sea; thence to and along the sea-coast to the point of commencement.

SLUGGISH RIVER DRAINAGE BOARD

Declaration of Result of Poll—Drag-line Loan, 1947, £3,250

I, EDWARD CHARLES PRINT, Chairman of the Sluggish River Drainage Board, do hereby declare that at the poll taken on the 25th day of June, 1947, to sanction the purchase of a drag-line, resulted in 162 votes in favour of the proposal and 15 against the proposal. Therefore the proposal was duly carried.

Fish-canning Industry

S. Ward (N.Z.), Ltd., P.O. Box 27, Invercargill, has applied for an extension of its existing licence so as to permit the canning of all sea-fish in addition to eels.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than the 31st July, 1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
