  1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
    The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 62970 and on the plan marked P.W.D. 63783, deposited as aforesaid:
    (a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a head-race leading to the turbine and power-house, hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 15 ft.
    (b) A turbine and power-house with all necessary equipment for generating electricity:
    (c) A tail-race leading from the aforesaid power-house into the said stream.
  2. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
    The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (j) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a two-wire direct current system at a normal rated pressure of 36 volts.
  3. DURATION OF LICENCE
    Unless sooner determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1968.
  4. RENTAL
    For the purpose of assessing the annual rental payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation, the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 1 kilowatt.

    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and with the consent of the licensee, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and published in the Gazette on the third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, at page 1219, authorizing Gilbert Charles Wells, of Waikawa Bay, Farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

    Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the liquidator of the licensee company, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the Gazette on the sixth day of the same month, authorizing the Oparau Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect electric lines.

    Altering the Boundaries of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk District

    At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of July, 1947
    Present:
    His EXCELLENCTY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby alter, as from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, the boundaries of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk District which was constituted by Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five (published in the Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of the same month, at page 839), and of which the boundaries were altered and redefined by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six (published in the Gazette of the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, at page 1050), by including therein that portion of the Waipareira Riding of the Waitemata County particularly described in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE
    ALL that area in the Waipareira Riding of the Waitemata County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block V, Titirangi Survey District, being the intersection of the middle of the Waikomiti-West Coast Road with the middle of the Waitakere Scenic Drive, and being a point near the southern corner of Lot 4 on D.P. 32075, being part of Allotments 7A, Waipareira Parish, and 368, Waikomiti Parish, and running generally north-westerly and northerly along the middle of the said Waitakere Scenic Drive to the middle of the Kumeu-Swanson-Henderson Main Highway; thence generally easterly along the middle of the said highway, to and down the middle of the Swanson Stream to the mean high-water mark of the Huruhuru Creek, being an arm of the Waitemata Harbour; thence generally southerly and westerly along the boundaries of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 53 of the lst day of August, 1946, at page 1050, to the point of commencement.

    Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £500 by the Woodville Borough Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof

    At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of July, 1947
    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCTY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    WHEREAS the Woodville Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of five hundred pounds (£500), by a loan to be known as “Main Highways Loan, 1947” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of paying its portion of the cost of reconstructing, priming, and sealing the McLean Street North Main Highway through the borough:
    Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of five hundred pounds (£500), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:
    (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be three (3) years.
    (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.
    (3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
    (4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

    Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £64,000 by the Auckland City Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof

    ORDER IN COUNCIL
    At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of July, 1947
    Present:
    His EXCELLENCTY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    WHEREAS the Auckland City Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the terms of a requisition issued under section twenty-two of the Health Act, 1920, to raise a loan of sixty-four thousand pounds (£64,000), to be known as “Waterworks Additional Loan, 1947” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of providing waterworks for the purpose of extending and improving the waterworks undertaking of the City of Auckland:
    Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of sixty-four thousand pounds (£64,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:
    (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty-five (25) years.
    (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
