Appointing a Non-elective Member of the Wairarapa Catchment Board
B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 26 of the twenty-second day of the same month, Thomas Thoresby Caccia Birch, Esquire, M.A. (Oxon.), was appointed a non-elective member of the Wairarapa Catchment Board in terms of section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941:
And whereas the said Thomas Thoresby Caccia Birch has resigned from membership of the said Board, and it is considered expedient to appoint another non-elective member in lieu of the said Thomas Thoresby Caccia Birch:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby cancel the appointment of the said Thomas Thoresby Caccia Birch to be a non-elective member of the Wairarapa Catchment Board, and do hereby appoint Charles Orlando Bridgeman, Esquire, Forest Ranger, State Forest Service, Masterton, to be a non-elective member of the Wairarapa Catchment Board for a term commencing on the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and terminating on the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of July, 1947.

Land temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral licence, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Wellington Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for recreation purposes.
SCHEDULE WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT SECTION 1, Block IX, Belmont Survey District: Area, 29 acres and 21-5 perches, more or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of July, 1947.

Appointment of Analyst for the Purpose of the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908
B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General PURSUANT to the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Dennis Newton Allen to be an Analyst for the purposes or the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908.
