NORMAN DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company and a meeting of creditors will be held at the office of G. R. Clark, Public Accountant, 22 Brandon Street, Wellington, on Friday, the 18th day of July, 1947, at 11.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

TARADALE TOWN BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Taradale Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, instalments of principal, and other charges on a loan of £20,000 (known as the ‘Housing Loan, 1947’), authorized to be raised by the Taradale Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the acquisition of land and the erection of workers’ dwellings thereon, the said Taradale Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and one-eighth pence (3¼d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Taradale Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Taradale Town Board held at the Board’s offices at Taradale on the 19th day of June, 1947.

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand three hundred pounds (£12,300), authorized to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council and called ‘The Conversion Loan Repayment Loan, 1948, of £12,300,’ the Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventy-two one-hundredths of a penny (72/100d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Oamaru; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year until the last maturity date of the debentures securing the said loan, being the 1st day of January, 1953, or until all such debentures are fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Oamaru was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Oamaru Borough Council in the presence of—
