Directing Application of Moneys received in respect of the Clifton Domain, Taranaki Land District, for the Purposes of the Waimate Domain

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section sixty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that from the moneys received in respect of the Clifton Domain, described in the First Schedule hereto, and at the date hereof lying to the credit of the said domain, a sum not exceeding two hundred and fifty pounds shall be applied in managing, administering, and improving the Waimate Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—CLIFTON DOMAIN

SECTION 71, Block VII, Waitara Survey District: Area, 66 acres, more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—WAIMATE DOMAIN

SECTION 78, Block VI, Waimate Survey District: Area, 13 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or less.

Varying the Determinations in respect of the Hauraki Catchment Board’s Loan of £8,000

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of June, 1947

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Hauraki Catchment Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000), to be known as “Administration Loan, 1946” (hereinafter called the said loan):

And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not yet been exercised, and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, both hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing that in lieu of payment of the first instalment being made not later than the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, as specified in clause three of the said Order in Council, the first instalment of not less than two thousand pounds (£2,000) shall be paid not later than the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, and the balance of the said loan shall be repaid by three (3) equal annual instalments thereafter.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Hawke’s Bay Hospital Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of thirty-two thousand pounds (£32,000), to be known as “Memorial Hospital: Domestic Services Block Building Loan, 1945” (hereinafter called the said loan):

And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not been exercised to the extent of twenty-six thousand pounds (£26,000) (hereinafter called the said sum), and it is expedient to extend the term, as specified in clause six of the said Order in Council, within which the said sum or any portion thereof may be raised:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum by prescribing that no moneys shall be borrowed under the consent given by the said Order in Council after the expiration of three (3) years from the date thereof.

Authorizing John Oddy Wood, of Moore’s Valley, Wainui-o-mata, Farmer, to erect Electric Lines in Portion of Block 17, Belmont Survey District, County of Hutt

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of June, 1947

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize John Oddy Wood, of Moore’s Valley, Wainui-o-mata, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS

THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. LICENCE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (j) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The voltage of generation and transmission over the lines hereby authorized shall be 32 volts direct current.

  1. DURATION OF LICENCE

Unless sooner determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1968, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other general public source, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity leading from the generating plant situated in Section 28, Block 17, Belmont Survey District, and proceeding thence across Moore’s Valley Road to a feed-shed, a garage, and a private residence situated in Section 28, Block 17, Belmont Survey District, County of Hutt. As the same are shown by means of red lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 125405, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
