Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid ;

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIRARAPA EAST RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, situate in the Survey Districts of Tiffin, Otahoua, Rewa, Huangarua, Wainuioru, and Kaiwhata, and bounded as follows : Commencing at a point on the southern side of the Masterton–Taueru Road where it joins the south-western boundary of Section 514, Whareama Block, Block VII, Otahoua Survey District ; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the western boundary of Section 604 ; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the western and southern boundaries of the said Section 604 to the western boundary of Section 546 ; thence in an easterly direction generally by the western boundary of Section 546, the northern boundary of the land shown on Land Transfer Plan B/201, the northern and north-eastern boundaries of the land shown in Land Transfer Plan B/198, the northern boundary of the land shown on Land Transfer Plan B/205, the northern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 2303, and the northern boundary of the land shown on Land Transfer Plan B/290 to the permanent State forest as described in Gazette of 1897, page 2188 ; thence in a north-easterly direction by the eastern boundaries of Sections 667 and 662, Whareama Block, Block VI, Rewa Survey District ; thence in an easterly direction generally by the southern boundaries of Sections 648, 649, and 650, the western boundary of Section 614, the northern and north-western boundaries of Section 613, the southern boundaries of Sections 613 and 677, the eastern boundary of Section 677, Whareama Block, and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 10442, to the East Coast Road, by the crossing of that road, and thence in a northerly direction by the eastern side of that road to the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4523 ; thence in an easterly direction generally by that southern boundary and the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 4523, to the Whareama River ; thence by the right bank of that river to the sea-coast ; thence in a southerly direction generally by the sea-coast to the Kaiwhata River ; thence in a westerly direction generally by the left bank of that river to the eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 4281 ; thence by the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the said D.P. 4281 to the right bank of the Kaiwhata River, by the crossing of that river, and thence in a northerly direction generally by the western boundary of Section 1, Block V, the western boundary of Section 12, Block IV, Kaiwhata Survey District, and the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Te Maipi 7c 3b ; thence south-easterly along that road to a point opposite the intersection of that road and the old road passing through Section 292 ; thence south-westerly generally along the northern side of that old road to the eastern boundary of Section 291, Block XI, Wainuioru Survey District ; thence in a southerly direction generally by the eastern boundary of Section 291 to the southern corner of that section ; thence in a westerly direction by the southern boundaries of Sections 291 and 290 to the junction of the Waipunga Stream with the Wainuioru River ; thence in a southerly direction along the left bank of the Wainuioru River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 294, Block X, Wainuioru Survey District ; thence westerly to and along that boundary to the right bank of the Wainuioru River ; thence north-west generally by that right bank to the southern boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Wainuioru Survey District ; thence westerly by the southern boundary of the said Section 3 ; thence northerly by the eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 5, and 10, Mahupuku Settlement ; thence westerly by the northern boundaries of the said Section 10 and of Section 7, Mahupuku Settlement, to the Wangaehu Valley Road, by the crossing of that road, and by the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the Wangaehu Road, as shown on plan S.O. 16286 ; thence northerly by the eastern side of that road to the Wangaehu River, by that river to the western boundary of Section 12, Long-bush Settlement ; thence by the western boundaries of Subdivisions 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Uwhiroa Block, and the eastern boundary of Section 29, Block IV, Huangarua Survey District, to the Mangahuia Stream, by that stream to the Makahakaha Stream, by that stream to the northern boundary of part Tuarawhati Block, as shown on Land Transfer Plan A/2665 ; thence south-easterly by that boundary to the south-east boundaries of Sections 15 and 16, Tupurupuru Block, as shown on Land Transfer Plans A/2663 and D.P. 6099, to the southern side of a road intersecting Lot 2, D.P. 6009, by that road to the Masterton–Gladstone Road ; thence in a northerly direction by that road to the southernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 7309 ; thence towards the north-west by the southern boundaries of Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 7309, to the left bank of the Ruamahanga River ; thence northerly by that left bank to its junction with the Wangaehu River ; thence in a north-easterly direction by that river to the south side of Moore’s Road ; thence towards the west by a line being the production of the south side of Moore’s Road to the eastern side of a road through Section 7, Block I, Otahoua Survey District, and also forming the western boundary of Sections 6, 5, and 3, Block VI, Otahoua Survey District, to the southern side of the Masterton–Taueru Road ; thence easterly by the southern side of that road to the south-western boundary of Section 514, Whareama Block, Block VII, Otahoua Survey District, the point of commencement.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Village of Pakihikura, Wellington Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for public buildings of the General Government :

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for an addition to a public-school site (Pakihikura) :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a site for public buildings of the General Government to a reserve for an addition to a public-school site (Pakihikura).

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a public hall : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Wyndham Town Board :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve shall become vested in the Wyndham Town Board, in trust, for a site for a public hall.
