A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Waitomo Electric-power District so as to include the areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the County of Kawhia, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block IX, Kawhia North Survey District, known as Urawitiki Point, being on the southern side of the entrance to Kawhia Harbour, and running easterly generally along the southern shores of the said harbour, to and up the middle of the Waiharakeke Stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Taumatatotara No. 1r Block; thence along a right line, to and along the north-western and south-western boundaries of the said block, crossing a public road and the Waiharakeke Stream aforesaid, and along the south-western boundary of Taumatatotara No. 1a Block, the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Taumatatotara No. 4B 4 Block, to and along the south-western and southern boundaries of Lot 11, as shown on the plans numbered 7460, 7461, and 7462, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Hauturu West G 2 No. 2B 2 Block, crossing two intervening public roads, to and along the southern boundary of Section 1, Block III, Kawhia South Survey District, a right line across a public road, to and along the generally southern boundary of Section 5, Block IV of the said survey district, to its most easterly corner; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of Section 8, Block I, Orahiri Survey District, to and along the generally western boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, Kawhia South Survey District, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence easterly along the middle of the public roads forming the generally southern boundary of the aforesaid Section 1 and the western boundaries of Sections 3a and 3, Block V, Orahiri Survey District, to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Orahiri Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the western boundaries of the said Section 3 and Section 7 of the said Block IX, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Lemon Point - Waitomo Caves Main Highway; thence westerly generally along the middle of that main highway to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot I of Section 6, Block XVI, Kawhia South Survey District; thence along a right line, to and along the said north-western boundary and the north-western boundary of Kinohaku West 0 1 Block, and a right line being the said boundary produced to the middle of Manga-tuahaua Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 1 of Section 6 aforesaid, to and along the north-western boundaries of Lot 16, as shown on the plan numbered 8072, deposited as aforesaid, being part Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 6B 2 Block, and Section 3, Block IV, Maungamangero Survey District, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Tawarau River; thence down the middle of the said river to its confluence with the Mangaohae Stream; thence up the middle of the said Mangaohae Stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Section 1, Block II, Maungamangero Survey District; thence along a right line crossing a public road, to and along the said northern boundary and the northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 5 of the said Block II, and Section 2 and 7, Block I of the said survey district, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road, to and along the generally eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 3 of Block I aforesaid, the north-western boundary of Section 4 of the said Block I, the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Block II, Whareorino Survey District, the abutment of a public road, the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of part Section 2, Block VI, Marokopa Survey District, to and along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 2B of Block VI aforesaid, a right line across a public road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 16 of the said Block VI, and the abutment of a public road to the shores of the Tasman Sea; thence northerly generally along the said shores to Urawitiki Point, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 5, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
(a) All that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the County of Otorohanga, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-western corner of Section 6B, Block II, Orahiri Survey District, and running easterly generally along the southern boundary of the said Section 6B and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Tapuae Road; thence northerly generally along the middle of the said road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2 of Section 7, Block II of the said survey district; thence along a right line to and along the said southern boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 2 and Lot 1 of the said Section 7 and the south-eastern boundary of Section 5 of the said Block II, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 25, Block III, Orahiri Survey District, a right line across a public road, to and along the generally southern and eastern boundaries of Section 29 of the said Block III, to and along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Section 7 of Block III aforesaid to the north-western corner of Section 17 of the said Block III; thence along a right line, passing through the said Section 7, to the south-western corner of part Otorohanga No. 2C 2B Block; thence easterly along the generally southern boundary of the said block, crossing a public road, the south-eastern boundary of Section 5 of the aforesaid Block III, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 6, Block IV of the said survey district, and a right line crossing a public road, and passing through Sections 7B and 8A of Block IV aforesaid to the south-western corner of Section 43 of the said Block IV; thence along the south-western boundary of Section 43 aforesaid and the generally western boundary of Section 29 of Block IV aforesaid, to and along the north-eastern and western boundaries of Otorohanga Q 2E Block to the northern side of the public road forming the generally south-western boundary of the said Otorohanga Q 2E Block; thence westerly generally along the northern side of the said public road to a point due east of the north-western corner of Section 9 of Block IV aforesaid; thence southerly generally along a right line, crossing the said public road, to and along the western boundary and the southern boundary of Section 9 aforesaid, to and along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Orahiri No. 2 No. 4B 2 Block, to and along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Orahiri No. 2 No. 5B 2A Block, to and along the north-western boundary of Section 5 and the north-western, south-western, and southern boundaries of Section 31 to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 13, the aforesaid sections being of Block VII, Orahiri Survey District; thence along a right line across the Waitomo Valley Road, to and along the said south-western boundary, to and along the north-western boundary of Hauturu East E 2 No. 7B Block; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Te Whetu A 4B Block, and the northern and western boundaries generally of Hauturu East C 2B 1B Block, the northern boundaries of Section 18 and part Section 19 of the aforesaid Block VII, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, as shown on the plan numbered 13754, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being parts Hauturu East B 2 No. 2B 4 and 2B 3B Blocks, the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2, as shown on the plan numbered 13754 aforesaid, being part Hauturu East B 2 No. 2B 3B Block, a right line across the Waitomo Valley road aforesaid, to and along the north-eastern boundaries generally of Lot 1, as shown on the plan numbered 13754 aforesaid, being part Hauturu East B 2 No. 2B 3A Block, Uekaha A 6 Block, Hauturu East B 2 Nos. 2B 1 and 2F 1 Blocks, crossing Te Raumauku and Tupuae Roads, and Section 1, Block V, Orahiri Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Block I of the said survey district; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 4 to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 4, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered red.
(b) All that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the County of Otorohanga, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western shores of the Arapuni Lake in line with the northern boundary of Section 10, Block IV, Wharepapa Survey District, and running southerly generally along the said shores and the left bank of the Waikato River, to and up the middle of the Waipapa River and the middle of the Waiteti Stream to its approximate source at peg CXXX, as shown on the plan numbered 20946 (2), lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland; thence south-westerly along a right line, bearing 209° 13', distance 7767 links; thence south-easterly along right lines bearing 169° 44', distance 10266 links, and bearing 169° 05', distance 3508 links, as shown on the aforesaid plan; thence along the western boundary of part Pouakani B No. 11 Block, to and along the northern boundary of Maraeroa A 3A Block to a point being the intersection of the said northern boundary with the right line between Trig. Station No. 1641, Rangitoto, in Block IV, Pakaumanu Survey District, and the source of the Ongarue River in Block VII, Hurakia Survey District; thence north-westerly along the said right line to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Maraeroa B No. 3A Block; thence north-easterly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 31B Block, the north-eastern boundaries of Rangitoto A Nos. 31A and 32A Blocks, to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 32B 2 Block, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 33 Block, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of part Rangitoto A No. 34A Block, and Lots 1 and 2, as shown on the plan numbered 8021, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being parts Rangitoto A No. 36B Block, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 2, to and along the generally northern boundary of the Provisional State Forest Reserve in Blocks IV and VIII, Pakaumanu Survey District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 65 of the 8th day of July, 1920, page 2119, to and along the north-western boundary of Rangitoto A No. 67B 2A Block, to and along the north-eastern
