Position : Lat., 36° 22' S.; long., 174° 11' E. (approx.).
New Abridged Description : Fl. W.R. 5 sec. 15 ft. (U), 7 M.
Alterations : The light has been altered to flashing every 5 seconds, flash 0·3 sec., and visibility to 7 miles.
Chart affected : No. 2054.

NEW ZEALAND.—PROHIBITED AREAS DISCONTINUED
(1) Rakauananga Point, Chart 1896. Lat., 36° 37'·8 S.; long., 174° 47'·7 E. (approx.).
Details: The prohibited anchorage between Kawau Island, Tiritiri Island, and Whangaparaoa Peninsula has been discontinued. The anchorage is shown on the chart as enclosed by a line extending 120° 4·7 miles from the above point, thence 357°, thence 037°, thence 090°, thence 325° to Flat Rock, thence to Kawau Island, thence from Kawau Island to Fish Point.
(2) Motuihi Channel. Lat., 36° 47' S.; long., 174° 57' E. (approx.).
Details: The war restrictions on the use of this channel have been cancelled.
(3) Akaroa Wharf. Lat., 43° 48'·6 S.; long., 172° 57'·6 E. (approx.).
Details: The danger area in Akaroa Harbour no longer exists.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Awamutu taken on the 6th day of September, 1946, on a proposal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council to raise a loan of £40,000 for the extension and improvement of the borough sewerage system, the number of votes recorded was as follows:—
