to be Deputy Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the District of Matata, on and from the 26th day of May, 1947.

to be Deputy Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the District of Wanganui, on and from the 31st day of March, 1947.

Revocation of Certificate under the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, I hereby revoke the certificate of exemption issued pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, Amendment No. 1, in respect of part of the licensed premises known as the Hotel Auckland, situated at Customs and Queen Streets, in the City of Auckland, notice of which was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th May, 1943, at page 603.

Revocation of Certificate under the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, I hereby revoke the certificate of exemption issued pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, as amended by the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, Amendment No. 1, in respect of part of the licensed premises known as the Waverley Hotel, situated at Customs and Queen Streets, in the City of Auckland, notice of which was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th May, 1943, at page 603.

The Industry Licensing (Medicinal Plant) Revocation Notice 1947
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, I, Arnold Henry Nordmeyer, Minister of Industries and Commerce, do hereby give notice as follows:
- This notice may be cited as the Industry Licensing (Medicinal Plant) Revocation Notice 1947.
- This notice shall come into force on the fourteenth day following notification hereof in the Gazette.
- The Industry Licensing (Medicinal Plant) Notice 1942, is hereby revoked.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the Town of Opunake for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Opunake and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 acre. Being Sections 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Block XXX, Town of Opunake, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 143, folio 75 (Taranaki Land Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125229, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged yellow.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Christchurch and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

The Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its Amendments.-Notice declaring the Legislative Department to be a Department in which Apprentices may be taken
NOTICE is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Minister of Labour doth hereby declare that the arts and trades used and exercised in the Department mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be arts and trades within the meaning of Part II of the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and that the officer named in the said Schedule shall be deemed to be the master for the purposes of the said Part II of the said Act.

NAME of Department in which art or trade used or exercised:— Legislative Department.
Name of officer to whom persons shall be apprenticed:— The Foreman Binder.

Social Security Pharmaceutical Supplies Regulations 1941.—Notice regarding Payment for Containers supplied in respect of a "Repeat" Quantity of Medicine
ADDENDUM, June, 1947, to the New Zealand Formulary:—
NEW ZEALAND FORMULARY, PART 2
Clause 2 is hereby amended by adding at the end of subclause (1) thereof the following words— "Provided that, except where a container and its contents are priced under these rules as an integral unit, no payment shall be made from the fund in respect of a glass container supplied pursuant to a second or subsequent order under any particular medical prescription."
This amendment shall take effect from 1st August, 1947.
