FIRST SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—APPLEBY BRIDGE DOMAIN
All that area containing by admeasurement 13 acres, more or less,
being Section No. 2, Block II, Waimea Survey District: Bounded
towards the east by the Waimea River; towards the south-east
by an overflow of the said river; and towards the west and north-
west by a public road forming the eastern boundary of Sections
Nos. 52, 10, and 8 of the Waimea West Original District. As the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. 55720, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—RABBIT ISLAND DOMAIN
All that area containing by admeasurement 365 acres, more or
less, and being the following four parts of Rabbit Island, in Block II,
Waimea Survey District :—
All that area containing 22 acres 2 roods, bounded towards
the south-west by a line 15 chains long and 15 chains distant from
and parallel to high-water mark, the centre of the said line being
the centre of the track which crosses the island in a north-easterly
direction from a point opposite to the north-east corner of Rough
Island; towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the
south-west boundary, and 750 links from the centre thereof; to-
wards the north-east by high-water mark; and towards the south-
east by a line 15 chains distant from and parallel to the north-west
boundary.
Also all that area containing 41 acres 2 roods, being a strip
of land lying 250 links on each side of the centre of the before-
mentioned track: Bounded towards the southern end by high-
water mark, and towards the northern end by the portion of the
island firstly described above.
Also all that area containing 171 acres, being a strip of land
5 chains wide, starting from a point on the southern shore of the
island, the said point being about 25 chains in a south-easterly
direction from the south-west corner thereof, and thence following
along high-water mark in a generally north-westerly, northerly,
and south-easterly direction till it reaches the area firstly described
above.
Also all that area containing 130 acres, being a strip of land
5 chains wide, starting from a point on the southern shore of the
island, the said point being about 14 chains in a north-westerly
direction from the south-east corner thereof, and thence following
along high-water mark in a generally south-easterly, north-easterly,
and north-westerly direction till it reaches the area firstly described
above.
Be all the aforesaid dimensions more or less. As the said
portions are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/371, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.
Also Section 4 (Birds Island), Waimea East District, Block II,
Waimea Survey District: Area, 13 acres, more or less.

Foreshore Licence : Boat-slip or Landing—Moeraki—Trustees

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
June, 1947
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby vest in Harry Barker,
Alexander Michael John McLellan, M.M., and Olaf Trygvason (as
trustees for the fishermen of the district) (hereinafter called the
trustees, which term shall include their successors or assigns, unless
the context requires a different construction) the management of
the boat-slip or landing at Moeraki, as shown on approved plan
marked M.D. 2962 and deposited in the office of the Marine Depart-
ment at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat-
slip or landing as shown on the said plan, such vesting to be held
and enjoyed by the trustees upon and subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, and doth hereby
prescribe that the dues and rates set forth in the Second Schedule
hereto shall be charged and taken by the trustees for the use of the
said boat-slip or landing.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940,
and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable,
apply hereto. -
The annual sum payable by the trustees to the Minister shall
be one shilling (1s.), payable on demand. -
The term of the licence shall be fourteen (14) years from the
1st day of April, 1947.
SECOND SCHEDULE
DUES AND RATES
Every person using the said boat-slip or landing shall pay to the
trustees for the use of same the following scale of charges:—
For the first twenty-four hours or part thereof, for each s. d.
vessel . . . . . . . . . . 10 0
For the first three days or part thereof, for each
vessel . . . . . . . . . . 12 6
For one week, for each vessel . . . . . . . . 15 0
For every additional day after the first week per day or
part of a day, for each vessel . . . . . . 1 6

Every person applying to use the said slip shall pay such
charges to the trustees before launching his vessel therefrom. -
No unauthorized person shall haul up or launch crafts on
the said slip. -
No person shall haul up and launch crafts at any time other
than during ordinary working hours. -
Any person committing a breach of these regulations shall
be liable to a penalty not exceeding £20.

Appointing Five Members and the Chairman of the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Council

Pursuant to sections three and four of the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Act, 1941, I, Lieutenant-General Sir
Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby appoint—
Alfred James Davey, Esquire, of Timaru, Farmer, as representing
agricultural and pastoral interests,
James Robertson Hair, Esquire, of Patutahi, Gisborne, Farmer,
as representing River Boards, Drainage Boards, and
Catchment Boards,
Charles Vere Kirke, Esquire, of Fairlie, Farmer, as representing
County Councils of the South Island,
Walter Alexander Lee, Esquire, of Waitomo Caves, Farmer, as
representing County Councils of the North Island,
William Langston Newnham, Esquire, of Wellington, Civil
Engineer, as representing the Commissioner of Works,
to be members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council,
and I do also hereby appoint the said William Langston Newnham,
Esquire, to be the Chairman of the said Council.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 17th day of June, 1947.

Placing Part of the Waitakaruru Stream under the Control of Hauraki
Plains County Council

Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on
me by section sixty-two of the Health Act, 1920, do by this notice
place all those portions of the Waitakaruru Stream and its tribu-
taries situated in Blocks II and VI, Piako Survey District, within
the Waikato County, from the sources or that stream and its tribu-
taries to the intake of the Hauraki Plains County Council water-
supply, under the control of the Hauraki Plains County Council for
the purpose of preventing pollution thereof.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 10th day of June, 1947.

The undermentioned are reposted to the 2nd New Zealand
Expeditionary Force :—
Brigadier S. H. Crump, C.B.E., D.S.O. Dated 4th May, 1947.
Major R. B. Dawson, D.S.O., and is granted the temporary
rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 6th May, 1947.
Captain H. S. Sandford, and reverts to the rank of Lieutenant
at his own request. Dated 25th March, 1947.
The undermentioned is seconded from the Territorial Force :—
Lieutenant N. R. Jefferson, M.B., Ch.B., and is granted the
temporary rank of Captain. Dated 26th April, 1947.
