Members of the Howard Estate Advisory Board appointed.--(Notice No. Ag. 4427)

Wellington, 29th May, 1947.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, (1) in pursuance of subsection (3) of section 2 of the Howard Estate Amendment Act, 1927, and on the joint or other recommendation of the respective bodies mentioned in paragraphs (b), (c), and (d) of subsection (3) of the said section, to appoint--
Edward Averill, Esquire,
William Cuthbertson, Esquire, and
Wallace Anderson Tod, Esquire,
respectively, to be members of the Howard Estate Advisory Board ;
and (2), in pursuance of subsection (5) of the said section 2, to appoint--
James Livingstone, Esquire, and
Harry Standley Rathbone, Esquire,
to be the representatives on the said Board of the respective bodies mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (e) of subsection (3) of the said section; and (3), in pursuance of section 3 of the said Act, to name
Edward Averill, Esquire,
to be Chairman of the said Board.

Appointment of Honorary Officers
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946,
I, James O'Brien, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatization districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1950.

Notice of Intention to take a Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land in Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, for Better Utilization
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 30 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, to take the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by the Titahi Bay Golf Club (Incorporated) from Frederick William Ongley, George Percival Middleton, and William Nicholas Ryan for a term of ten years from the 1st day of January, 1938, under and by virtue of an unregistered memorandum of lease dated the 3rd day of September, 1938, for better utilization: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of the said leasehold estate or interest should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such leasehold estate or interest, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken: 1 acre 1 rood 26.34 perches.
Being part of the land in D.P. 9478, part Subdivisions 8 and 9, Koangaumua Block, Block XU, Paekakariki Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 464, folio 187 (Wellington Land Registry).
