Appointment of Members of Revaluation Committees
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 6th May, 1947.
PURSUANT to the powers and authorities conferred on me by section 216 of the Land Act, 1924, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be members of revaluation committees for the Land Districts as set out in each case hereunder, such appointments being for a period ending on 31st December, 1948:—

Appointment of Timber Controller
IN exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939 and the Timber Emergency Regulations 1939, as amended in 1945, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Commissioner of State Forests for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the appointment, dated 4th September, 1939, of Alexander Robert Entrican as Timber Controller, and do hereby appoint William Crabbe Ward to be Timber Controller for the purposes of the Timber Emergency Regulations, 1939, until the 31st day of March, 1948.

to be Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Waipukurau for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, on and from the 29th day of April, 1947.

to be Chief Clerk and Receiver of Land Revenue for the North Auckland Land District for the purposes of the Land Act, 1924, on and from the 21st day of November, 1946.

to be Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Thames for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 27th day of March, 1947.

to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Thames for the purposes of the Marriage Act, 1908, Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Thames for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Thames for the purposes of the Maori Births and Deaths Registration Regulations 1935, Clerk of the Magistrates’ Court at Thames for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, Clerk of the Warden’s Court, Receiver of Gold Revenue, and Mining Registrar at Thames and Coromandel for the Mining District of Hauraki, constituted under the Mining Act, 1926, and Clerk of the Licensing Committee for the District of Hauraki for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, on and from the 27th day of March, 1947.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 27th day of February, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of June, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situate in Block IV, Huarangarua Survey District, and Block XVI, Tiffin Survey District, containing by admeasurement six hundred and eighty-four (684) acres one (1) rood, more or less, being Section 18 and parts of Sections 16, 17, and 19, Ahiaruhe Block, and parts of Sections 7, 8, and 9, Tupurupuru Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 332, folio 6 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Block IV, Huarangarua Survey District, containing by admeasurement forty (40) acres, more or less, being parts of Sections 6 and 7, Tupurupuru Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 332, folio 8 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Blocks III and IV, Huarangarua Survey District, and Block XVI, Tiffin Survey District, containing by admeasurement one thousand and sixty-two (1,062) acres, more or less, being Sections 22, 23, 25, and parts of Sections 12, 20, 21, 26, and 27, Ahiaruhe Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 332, folio 9 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Block IV, Huarangarua Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and sixty-one (261) acres one (1) rood three (3) perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 24 and 28, Ahiaruhe Block, and parts of Sections 2 and 3, Tupurupuru Block, and being also parts of Lots 1 and 2, Deposited Plan 6030, and the land edged green on Deposited Plan 7074, together with the water rights appurtenant to the parts of Lot 1 created and restricted by Transfer No. 152338, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 322, folio 115 (Wellington Registry).
