IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, James O’Brien, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatization districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1950.

Election of Members of Fire Boards by Insurance Companies

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, it is hereby notified that an election by the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand of members of the undermentioned Fire Boards will be held on Friday, the 6th day of June, 1947, in the manner prescribed by the said Act and rules. The number of members to be elected in the case of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board and of the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board shall be four. In the case of Wanganui, Wellington, and Christchurch Fire Boards, the number shall be three, and in all others two members:—
