Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State
forest.

SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL those areas in the Westland Land District, Grey County,
containing by admeasurement 1,492 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more
or less, situated in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Mawheraiti Survey
District, and Block II, Ahaura Survey District, and described
generally as follows:

All that area containing by admeasurement 108 acres 0 roods
5 perches, more or less, being Section 3590 and Crown land (formerly
gravel reserve), situated in Block XIII, Mawheraiti Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 75 acres,
more or less, being the northern portion of Section 2700, situated in
Block XIV, Mawheraiti Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 184 acres
3 roods, more or less, being Section 2701, creek-beds and Crown
land (formerly residence areas), situated in Block XIV, Mawheraiti
Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 762 acres,
more or less, being Section 4 and Crown land, situated in Block XIV,
Mawheraiti Survey District, and Block II, Ahaura Survey District,
and bounded as follows : Commencing at the south-eastern corner
of Section 2700, Block XIV, Mawheraiti Survey District, and
proceeding in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of
that section to the terminal of a road ; thence generally in an
easterly direction along the southern boundary of that road to its
eastern terminal; thence by right lines bearing 111° 50' for 7800
links, 194° 00' for 8850 links, 318° 30' for 11730 links, and 253° 00'
for 5240 links to the point of commencement : excepting thereout
part Section 6, Block XIV, Mawheraiti Survey District, and all
public roads.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 26 acres
3 roods, more or less, being Section 3826 and Crown land adjoining,
situated in Block XIV, Mawheraiti Survey District, and bounded
as follows: Towards the north by Section 158 ; towards the north-
west by Section 2702; towards the south-west by a road; and
towards the south-east by a road.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 25 acres,
more or less, being Crown land, situated in Block XV, Mawheraiti
Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-west
by Section 3179 and Section 197, Square 122 ; towards the north-
east by the Waipuna Road ; towards the south-east by the Waipuna
Creek; and towards the south-west by part Reserve 1694 (per-
manent State forest—Gazette, 1940, page 1786).
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 102 acres
2 roods 17 perches, more or less, being Section 3154A and creek-beds,
situated in Block II, Ahaura Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods
5 perches, more or less, being Sections 1 to 6, 10, 11, 13 to 17, 19 to 23,
25 to 29, and 33 to 43, all inclusive, Town of Orwell Creek, situated in
Block II, Ahaura Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 206 acres,
more or less, being Crown land, situated in Block II, Ahaura Survey
District, and bounded as follows: Towards the south by part
Reserve 1694 (permanent State forest—Gazette, 1940, page 1786);
towards the east by part Reserve 1694 (provisional State forest—
Gazette, 1919, page 1283); towards the north by the Orwell Creek
Road; and towards the south-west by Section 3094 : excepting
thereout Sections 1 to 12, both inclusive, Town of Orwell Creek,
Reserve 1361 (school), Reserve 1852 (gravel), and all public roads.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 120/34,
deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 8th day of May, 1947.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £213,536 by the Invercargill
City Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of
May, 1947
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS under the authority of clause sixteen of the Inver-
cargill City Loans Conversion Order 1934, the Invercargill
City Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) stipulated
in certain of the securities issued pursuant to such Order for the
redemption thereof at the option of the said local authority on such
date prior to that specified in the securities as the said local authority
might fix in that behalf by notice to be published in the Gazette
at least six (6) months before such prior date:
And whereas the said local authority proposes, in exercise of
such option, to redeem on the first day of November, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-seven, certain of such securities amounting in
the aggregate to the sum of two hundred and thirteen thousand five
hundred and thirty-six pounds (£213,536), the date specified in
such securities for the redemption thereof being the first day of
May and the first day of November in each year from the year
one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight to the year one thousand
nine hundred and fifty-two (both years inclusive):
And whereas the said local authority, being desirous, for the
purpose of giving effect to such proposal of raising a loan of two
hundred and thirteen thousand five hundred and thirty-six pounds
(£213,536), to be known as “Conversion Redemption Loan No. 1,
1947” (hereinafter called the said loan), has complied with the
provisions of the Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and it is
expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General
in Council, as required by such Act, should be given to the raising
of the said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,
as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2),
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said
local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount
