Land permanently reserved in the Westland Land District for Recreation Purposes

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by the Warrant dated the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, and published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto for recreation purposes for which purpose the said land was so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 1874 (formerly closed road), Block XII, Greymouth Survey District: Area, 2 acres 2 roods 30.2 perches, more or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of May, 1947.

Member of the Nurses and Midwives Board appointed

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section four of the Nurses and Midwives Act, 1945, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thomas Frederick Corkill, M.B., Ch.B. (Univ. Edin.), 1915, M.D., 1920, M.R.C.P. (Edin.), 1920, to be a member of the Nurses and Midwives Board under the aforesaid Act as from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 3rd day of May, 1947.

Appointment of State Iron and Steel Commissioner

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section three of the Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1937, providing for the appointment of Commissioners to exercise the powers and carry out the duties conferred and imposed on them by the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint George Augustus Pascoe to be a Commissioner under the said Act, and to hold office during my pleasure as from the date of this Warrant.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 3rd day of May, 1947.
