CROWN LANDS NOTICE

Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 29th April, 1947.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 7th July, 1947.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 9th July, 1947, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND
Clutha County.—Pomahaka Survey District

SECTION 38, Block I: Area, 10 acres 0 roods 17 perches. Capital value, £40. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Deferred payments: Half-yearly instalments (term: ten years), £2 6s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 16s.

Weighted with £25 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing, plantation, two school lavatories, open shed.

The section is situated adjacent to Clydevale Post-office, sixteen miles from Balclutha by metal road. The soil is of light loam resting on clay and rock formation, and is watered by creek. The general quality of the section is fair, but infested with gorse.

Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District acquired for a State Forest

Wellington, 23rd April, 1947.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waipawa County, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, situated in Block VIII, Wakarara Survey District, being Lot 1 on D.P. 7157, and being part of Block 3, Gwavas Crown Grant District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 79/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.
