At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of April, 1947

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit Eric George Alexander Gray, of Horeke (hereinafter called “the licensee,” which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Horeke in Hokianga Harbour, as shown as sites numbered 6 and 7 on plan marked M.D. 8586 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a motor-garage as shown on the said plan, such license to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. THIS license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April, 1947.

  3. The premium sum payable by the licensee shall be two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s.), and the annual sum so payable shall be ten pounds (£10).

SCHEDULE

Warrant vesting the Control of Portions of Hauturu Road, on the Boundary between the Otorohanga and Kawhia Counties, in the Otorohanga and Kawhia County Councils

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the portion of road described in the First Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Otorohanga County Council, and do hereby further direct that the portion of road described in the Second Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Kawhia County Council.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of Hauturu Road, in the Auckland Land District, on the boundary between the Otorohanga and Kawhia Counties, commencing at its junction with Kihi Road on the western boundary of Section 10, Block XIII, Pirongia Survey District, and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally along the western boundary of the said section, and terminating at its junction with the northern boundary of Section 9, Block XIII, Pirongia Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123385, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of Hauturu Road, in the Auckland Land District, on the boundary between the Otorohanga and Kawhia Counties, commencing at its junction with the northern boundary of Section 9, Block XIII, Pirongia Survey District, and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally along the western boundary of the said Section 9, and terminating at its junction with Kaimango Road on the said western boundary of the said Section 9; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123385, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 17th day of April, 1947.

Honorary Inspector of Scenic Reserves appointed

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Charles Douglas Wilson

to be an Honorary Inspector under the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 19th day of April, 1947.

Land set apart in the North Auckland Land District as a Site for a Public School (Whananaki)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section thirty-one of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1941, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart as a site for a public school the land described in the Schedule hereto, and do further vest the said land in the Education Board of the Education District of Auckland.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Whangarei County, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section 44, Block VI, Opua whanga Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/590A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Auckland Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for railway purposes.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 1, Block VII, Mamaku Village: Area, 1 acre 1 rood 23 perches, more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 19th day of April, 1947.
