Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
Dumpleton and Stammers, 18 Tilford Street, Woolston, Christchurch, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed garage and service-station premises at the corner of Oak Street and Ferry Road, Woolston, Christchurch.
J. B. Magee, Palmerston Street, Riverton, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage and service-station premises, Palmerston Street, Riverton.
H. A. Arnold, Mercury Bay Service Station, Whitianga, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the Whitianga Wharf, the pump concerned to be one of six at present installed on premises at the corner of Monk Street and Mill Road, Whitianga.
Dalgety and Co., Ltd., P.O. Box 168, Hastings, has applied for permission to shift two pumps used for the sale of motor-spirit from their present position in Avenue Road, Hastings, to a new site in Avenue Road, approximately 210 ft. distant.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 30th day of January, 1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Acting-Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

T is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the Police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, the 15th February, 1947, be sold thereafter by public auction.

P URSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 643, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 570f (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of February, 1947.
  3. The principal Order in its application to “Sure to Rise” baking and cake powders is hereby amended as follows:
    (a) By omitting from subclause (1) of clause 4 the price figures “156s.”, “29s.”, and “11s.”, and substituting “125s.”, “24s. 2d.”, and “9s. 6d.” respectively:
    (b) By omitting from subclause (1) of clause 5 the price figures “156s.”, “29s.”, and “11s.”, and substituting “125s.”, “24s. 2d.”, and “9s. 6d.” respectively:
    (c) By omitting from clause 6 the price figures “16s.”, “3s.”, and “1s. 2d.”, and substituting “12s. 10d.”, “2s. 6d.”, and “1s.” respectively, and by omitting the price figures “16s. 2d.”, “3s. 0½d.”, and “1s. 2½d.”, and substituting “13s.”, “2s. 6½d.”, and “1s. 0½d.” respectively.
