Prohibition of Sale (Control of Prices) Notice 1947, No. 2

Pursuant to the powers conferred on it by the Control of
Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 3,*
the Price Tribunal doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Prohibition of Sale (Control
    of Prices) Notice 1947, No. 2.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June,

Goods to Which This Notice Applies

  1. (1) This notice shall not apply with respect to any goods
    in any case where, prior to the date of the coming into force of this
    notice, the Tribunal has, by approval or authority given or applicable
    to the person concerned, approved or authorized a specified selling-
    price or a maximum selling-price for such goods.

(2) Except as provided in subclause (1) hereof, this notice
applies with respect to all goods specified in the Schedule hereto,
being goods that have been declared under the Declared Goods
(Control of Prices) Notice 1946, No. 1†.

PROHIBITION OF SALE
  1. Subject to the provisions of clause 5 hereof, the sale by any
    person whomsoever of any goods to which this notice applies is
    hereby prohibited.
PROVISION FOR WITHDRAWAL OF PROHIBITION
  1. The prohibition of the sale by any person of any goods in
    accordance with this notice shall be deemed to be withdrawn with
    respect to those goods—

(a) If and when a Price Order issued by the Tribunal comes
into force with respect to the goods; or

(b) If and when the Tribunal, by approval or authority given
or applicable to the person concerned, approves or
authorizes a specified selling-price or a maximum selling-
price for the goods.

SCHEDULE

Kinds of Goods the Sale of Which Is Prohibited by This
Notice

New goods of the following kinds:—

Furs, fur coats, fur capes, and all skins used in the manufacture
thereof.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, the
following names of officiating ministers within the meaning
of the said Act are published for general information:—

CROWN LANDS NOTICES

Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 31st March, 1947.

NOTICE

is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land
Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands
and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday,
23rd June, 1947.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday,
25th June, 1947, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is
unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or
by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined
documentary evidence of their financial position and farming
experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount
of improvement loading.

SCHEDULE

Taranaki Land District.—First-Class Land

Taumarunui County.—Piopioea West Survey District

SECTION 16, Block II: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 30 perches. Capital
value £35. Deposit on deferred payments (term: ten years), £5.
Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 19s. 5d. Renewable
lease: Half-yearly rent, 14s.

Weighted with £20 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising
half-share in 10 chains boundary fencing, and whole area
cleared and surface sown.

This section is situated on the Mania Road, two miles and a
half from Taumarunui Post-office and Railway-station and three
miles from Taumarunui School; access is by metalled road from
Taumarunui. The soil is light loam on pumice formation, and the
land is practically all flat. The section is suitable for amalgamation
with adjoining properties or as a building-site for a worker in the
town.

Town Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale

District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 31st March, 1947.

NOTICE

is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are
open for sale under the Land Act, 1924, as amended by
section 6 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1944; and applications
will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up
to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 6th May, 1947.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 8th May,
1947, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to
attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any
Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit of £15; the
remaining £60, together with £1 title fee, must be paid within
thirty days.

SCHEDULE

Hawke’s Bay Land District.—Town Land

Napier Borough.—Town of Napier

LOT I of Subdivision 4, part Napier Town Section 306: Area,
5·9 perches. Purchase-price, £75.

This section is situated in Hastings Street, Napier, near the
junction of Sale Street and Hastings Street. It would be suitable
for the purpose of establishing a small business.

Town Lands in Westland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE

is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
are open for selection on renewable lease under the land
Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands
and Survey Office, Hokitika, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday,
5th May, 1947.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Hokitika, on Wednesday, 7th May,
1947, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend
he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Com-
missioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

NOTE.—These sections are offered in terms of section 153 of
the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any minerals
under the surface shall pertain to the lessees, whose rights shall be
to the surface soil only.

SCHEDULE

Westland Land District.—Town Lands

Grey County.—Cobden Survey District.—Westland Mining District
SECTIONS 5 and 6, Block VI: Area, 2 roods 2·7 perches. Capital
value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 17s. 6d.

This is a residential section in Town of Rapahoe, nine miles
from Greymouth; access is by good metalled road.

Any further information required may be obtained from the
undersigned.
