Revoking the Reservation over a Reserve in Lyndon Survey District,
Canterbury Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of
March, 1947
Present:
THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation as a site for a
fire-brigade station over the land described in the Schedule hereto ;
and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown,
is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
CANTEBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 20 perches, more or
less, being part Section 5, Block II, Hanmer Township, situated
in Block II, Lyndon Survey District, and bounded as follows :
Towards the north generally by Section 4, Block II, Hanmer Town-
ship, 166·7 links ; towards the east and south generally by other
part of Section 5 aforesaid, 75 links and 166·7 links respectively ; and
towards the west generally by Amuri Road, 75 links. As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/86A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities

Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has
been duly set apart as a landing reserve : And whereas
it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested
in the Rodney County Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve
in the Rodney County Council.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Rodney County, situated in Block VIII,
Mahurangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres
2 roods and 32 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 201,
Parish of Mahurangi. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 52766A, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has
been duly set apart for municipal purposes : And whereas,
in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the
said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough
of Arrowtown :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928,
doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof,
the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested
in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Arrow-
town, in trust, for municipal purposes.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in the Borough of Arrowtown (Otago R.D.),
containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 28·64 perches, more or
less, being Sections 1, 2, 9, 10, and 11, Block III, Town of Arrowtown.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has
been duly set apart as a reserve for gravel-pit purposes :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient
to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants
of the County of Selwyn :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act,
1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become
vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County
of Selwyn, in trust, for gravel-pit purposes.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-
hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace
Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in
the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown
holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the
said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory
declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the
Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
