DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between HENRY JAMES WINTER, CHRISTOPHER WINTER, and WILLIAM JOHN WINTER, carrying on business as Dairy Farmers and Milk-vendors at Ouruhia, near Christchurch, under the style or firm name of "Winter Bros.," has been dissolved as from the 30th day of June, 1946, so far as concerns the said WILLIAM JOHN WINTER, who retires from the said partnership and takes over the milk round formerly carried on by the said partnership.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF CANTERBURY

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Acts amending the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Canterbury, a body corporate under the Education Act, 1914, proposes to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, for the purposes of a site for an intermediate school, all that parcel of land situated in the City of Christchurch containing eleven acres two roods twenty-one and two-tenths of a perch (11 acres 2 roods 21 2 perches), being part of Lot l on Deposit Plan 11232, part of Rural Sections 142 and 299, and being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 482, folio 59, and being the whole of the land edged in orange on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch and thereon numbered S.P. 7833.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land is deposited at the offices of the Secretary of the Education Board of the District of Canterbury, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, where it lies open for public inspection daily (without fee) during all reasonable hours, and that all persons affected shall, if they have any objections to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objection, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of the first publication of such notice, being the 12th day of March, 1947, addressed to the Secretary, Education Board of the District of Canterbury, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. MAGNUS NICOLSON, a partner in the above firm, retired from the partnership as at the 31st December, 1946. The practice of the partnership will be carried on as heretofore at Napier, Hastings, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tokomaru Bay, and Wellington by the remaining partners of the firm and under the same firm name.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 17th day of March, 1947, cancelled the registry of Tokomaru Bay Lodge, No. 108, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand, Friendly Society (Register No. 146/162), held at Waima, Tokomaru Bay, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

Notice of Meeting

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of the MANGATAINO Co-operative Cheese Company, LIMITED (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the abovenamed company will be held in the registered office of the Mangatainoka Dairy Company, Mangatainoka, on the 9th day of April, 1947, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before it showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation which may be given by the liquidator, and to determine how the books and accounts of the company shall be disposed of.

Under the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:-

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription 30s. per annum in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 25s. (Volumes for years 1940, 1941, and 1942 are out of print.)

(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, 42s. per annum in advance.

(4) Separate regulations as issued.

(5) Loose-leaf binder for filing serial issues, 10s. 6d.; postage free.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now with the Government Printer, Wellington. Separate copies may be purchased at the Chief Post-offices at Auckland, Christchurch, or Dunedin.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.-The subscription is at the rate of Β£3 3s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:-

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, ld.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, ld.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
