NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AWANUI RIVER
Seaplane Alighting Area established
Position: Te Kotiatia observation spot. Lat., 34° 53′ 25″ S.; long., 173° 18′ 05″ E. (approx.).
Details: A seaplane alighting area approximately 17 cables long and 3 cables wide lying in a 034° direction has been established in the estuary of the Awanui River.
A mooring buoy is situated 191° 4·4 miles from the above position. The area is marked on the western side by a buoy at the south-west corner 000° 600 ft. from the mooring buoy, one at the north-west corner and one at the middle.

NEW ZEALAND.—COOK STRAIT AREA
Proofing of Gun
Positions: Sinclair Head—Lat., 41° 22′ S.; long., 174° 44′ E. (approx.). Brothers Lighthouse—Lat., 41° 06′ S.; long., 174° 27′ E. (approx.).
Details: The area between a line extending 140° 20 miles from Sinclair Head and a line extending 090° from Brothers to the shore will be a danger area between 1000 and 1200 hours on the 25th March, and, if necessary, on the 26th.
Information will be broadcast by radio when the firing is completed.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
J. Milner and V. E. Strong, 45 Great North Road, Auckland, have applied for a license to manufacture footwear, wedge and Cuban heel, sandal and semi-sandal type, by the riveted and sewn processes.
Stuart Edwards, Ltd., 16 King Street, Newtown, Wellington, has applied for a license to manufacture wedge and platform slippers by the cemented process.
R. J. Cummings and Day, 341a Lincoln Road, Christchurch, have applied for a license to manufacture wedge shoes (sandal type) by the blake-sewn method.
Radio-manufacturing Industry
A. E. Haydon, Princess Theatre Building, Dominion Road, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture portable radio receivers.
Manufacture of Paua (Haliotis iris) Shell for Sale
The following person has applied for a license to engage in the industry described in the Industry Licensing (Paua Shell) Notice 1946:—

J. H. Dale, Ngaroma, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Ngaroma.
John Kilkenny, Ltd., Russell Street, Westport, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on garage and service-station premises at the corner of Palmerston and Lyndhurst Streets, Westport.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 3rd April, 1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
