Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of
Balclutha
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 6th March, 1947.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Clutha and included in the Borough of Balclutha.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF CLUTHA
AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF BALCLUTHA
ALL that area containing approximately 520 acres, being part of Blocks XXXIII, XXXV, and XXXVI, Clutha Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the Clutha River (Koau Branch) in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 24, Rosebank Estate; thence to and north-westerly along that boundary, across a road; thence to and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the plan numbered 3264, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Dunedin; thence to and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of said Plan 3264 and Plan 2900, deposited as aforesaid; thence to and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of said Plan 2900; thence to and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 4, 3, and 2 aforesaid, Rosebank Estate; thence to and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of aforesaid Rosebank Estate and the south-eastern boundary of Plan 2317, deposited as aforesaid; thence to and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, said Plan 2317; thence to and north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of the areas contained in certificates of title, Vol. 314, folio 27, Vol. 314, folio 5, Vol. 279, folio 116, Vol. 252, folio 247, and again Vol. 279, folio 116, to the Clutha River; thence down the right bank of that river to the present boundary of the Borough of Balclutha; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along that boundary to the Clutha River (Koau Branch); thence down the right bank of that river to the point of commencement.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XV, Drury Survey District,
for a Native School
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Native school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Pukekohe and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 5 acres 0 roods 32·7 perches.
Being Lot 11, D.P. 6611, and being part Allotment 53 of Section 2, Parish of Pukekohe.
Situated in Block XV, Drury Survey District (Auckland R.D.).
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125005, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Agreement for Grant of Right of Occupation in favour of Lichfield Shirts, Limited, over Land in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, assented to
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 14th day of March, 1944, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 20 of the 16th day of the same month, an area of land comprising approximately 1 acre 3 roods 25·2 perches, being Lots 1 and 2 and part Lot 3, D.P. 12410, being part Rural Section 163, Borough of Riccarton, Canterbury Land District, was taken for a vocational training institution:
And whereas portion of the aforesaid land was, at the date such Proclamation took effect, subject to Memorandum of Lease Registered No. 11295 to Lichfield Shirts, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Christchurch, for a term of twenty-five years commencing from the 1st day of September, 1941:
And whereas the aforesaid company is entitled to compensation for its leasehold interest in the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to Lichfield Shirts, Limited, a lease of all that piece of land measuring approximately 18 ft. by 34 ft., being part Lot 1, D.P. 5063, being part Rural Section 145, Block X, Christchurch Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 319, folio 75 (Canterbury Registry), for the period commencing on the 9th day of February, 1945, and terminating on the 31st day of August, 1966:
And whereas Lichfield Shirts, Limited, has agreed to accept such lease in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
