RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Municipal Transport Terminal Extension Loan, 1945 (£8,600)
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 31st day of January, 1946 :—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £8,600, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under section 5 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1945, for the purpose of making extensions to the loading platform at the Auckland Municipal Transport Terminal, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/15th of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the annual value) of the Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland ; and that the said special rate shall be on annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for library purposes at Northland Road and Randwick Road in the City of Wellington—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement ten perches and ninety-seven one-hundredths of a perch (10·97 perches), more or less, being part of Section 29, Karori District, and being also part of Lot 53 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 1087, which said piece of land is more particularly shown on S.O. plan No. 21378, and thereon coloured blue.
