Price Order No. 639 (Amending Price Order No. 604) (U.S.A. Safety Matches)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 639, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 604† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1947.

Clause 3 of the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting “11s. 6d.”, and substituting “11s. 9d.”.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, I hereby notify that at the poll held on the 4th day of December, 1946, for the election of a member to represent the North Ward of the Rural Area caused by an extraordinary vacancy, the voting was as follows :—

Amendments to the 1947 Nautical Almanac Plan
Position: End of No. 4 wharf (Western Wharf): Lat., 39° 28′·5 S.; long., 176° 55′·2 E. (approx.).
Amendments
Add the symbol for a light and the description, Fl. 5 sec., to the buoy about 015° 7½ cables from the above position.
Delete the small black patch on the shoal about 1 cable from the end of the breakwater.
The black can buoy about 1 cable north, the black conical buoy about half a cable south, and the lighted black buoy about 2 cables north-westward of the end of breakwater are shown incorrectly on the plan and should be replotted as follows :—
The black can buoy and the lighted black buoy are practically in line with the eastern side of No. 4 wharf at distances of 1,950 ft. and 950 ft. respectively from the end of the wharf.
The black conical buoy is in line with the eastern side of No. 3 wharf at a distance of 675 ft. from the end of the wharf.

Public Service Superannuation Fund.—Election of Members of the Board
NOTICE is hereby given that an election will be held on Monday, the 3rd day of March, 1947, for the purpose of electing, as members of the Public Service Superannuation Board, two representatives of the contributors who belong to the Post and Telegraph Department, one representative of the contributors who belong to the Police Force, and three representatives of the contributors who belong to other Departments of the Public Service.
The said election will be held at the office of the Public Service Superannuation Board, Departmental Buildings, Stout Street, Wellington C. 1.
A separate ballot will be taken of the contributors who belong to the Post and Telegraph Department, of the contributors who belong to the Police Force, and of the contributors who belong to other Departments of the Public Service.
Nominations will be received by the Returning Officer, in the form prescribed by Regulation 44 under the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927, until Monday, the 3rd day of February, 1947, at 5 o'clock p.m. The voting-lists will be closed on the same date.
The poll will close at 5 o'clock p.m. on the 3rd March, 1947. Ballot-papers, if posted, must be posted to the Returning Officer not later than 5 o'clock p.m. on the 3rd March, 1947, and must reach him not later than 5 o'clock p.m. on the fifteenth day thereafter. Ballot-papers, if delivered to the Returning Officer, must be so delivered in a sealed envelope not later than 5 o'clock p.m. on the 3rd March, 1947.
