ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of December, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a post-office.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 24·2 perches.

Being Lot 70, D.P. 4828, being part Ngarara West B 7, Subdivision 3. Situated in Block III, Kapiti Survey District. (S.O. 21481.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124604, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for electric works.

Boundaries of Borough of Port Chalmers and County of Waikouaiti altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-seven of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the County of Waikouaiti and included in the Borough of Port Chalmers:

And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that part of the said area be excluded from the County of Waikouaiti and included in the Borough of Port Chalmers:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of boundaries recommended by the said Commission:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Waikouaiti and included in the Borough of Port Chalmers.

SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF WAIKOUAITI AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF PORT CHALMERS

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing 127 acres, more or less, being part of Sawyer's Bay Survey District: Bounded towards the south-east by high-water mark from a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 62, Sawyer's Bay Survey District, to a point in line with the north-eastern side of Station Road; thence north-westerly to and along the said north-eastern side of that road to and across the Dunedin – Port Chalmers Main Highway; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of the said highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 21, Sawyer's Bay Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 8, Sawyer's Bay Survey District; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Section 8 aforesaid, to and across Dodson's or Hall Road, to and along the north-western boundary of Block IV, Glendermid Township, to the south-western boundary of Section 48, Sawyer's Bay Survey District; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said Section 48 to Reservoir Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of that road, to and across the Dunedin – Port Chalmers Main Highway, and along the south-western and southern side of that highway to the north-eastern boundary of Section 62 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along that boundary and its production to the point of commencement.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Paparoa under the Public Works Act, 1928

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

Declaring Portion of the Ohakune Farm Settlement Road, in the Waimarino County, to be a County Road

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of December, 1946

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, known as Ohakune Farm Settlement Road, commencing at a point on Urewera Road near its crossing of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 98 chains, and adjoining or passing through Tongariro National Park, Sections 30 and 81, Block V, Karioi Survey District, and Sections 21, 22, 19, 20, 24, and 18, Block I, Karioi Survey District (Ohakune Farm Settlement), and terminating at the northernmost corner of the said Section 18. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124470, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A–B–C.
