Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1946.

Withdrawing Crown Land from a Mining District

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by
section eight (c) of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other
power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, as from the date of the
publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, withdraw from the
Otago Mining District that area of Crown land described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area containing 1 rood, more or less, being Sections 24
and 25, Block II, Town of Glenorchy.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1946.

Amending an Order in Council authorizing the Rangiora Borough
Council to erect Electric Lines within the Rangiora Borough
and Portion of the Rangiora County

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of
December, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated
the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seven-
teenth day of the same month, at page 3530, authorizing the
Rangiora Borough Council to erect electric lines within the Rangiora
Borough and portion of the Rangiora County, by deleting the
figures ""3,300"" where they appear in clause two of the Schedule
in the said Order in Council, and substituting therefor the figures
""6,600.""

as to Limitations of Area

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day of
December, 1946
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section forty of the Statutes Amendment Act,
1946, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Wilfred Vernon
Reid Frater, of Wakefield, Farmer, of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of section one
hundred and seven of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that area containing 606 acres 2 roods 18 perches, more
or less, being Section 8 (formerly part Section 2) and Section 7,
Block VI, Howard Survey District.
Secondly, all that area containing 1,295 acres 2 roods
10·7 perches, more or less, being Section 4, Block X, Howard Survey
District, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title,
Volume 44, folio 254 (Nelson Registry).
Thirdly, all that area containing 792 acres, more or less, being
Section 11, Block X, Howard Survey District, and being all the
land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 88, folio 54 (Nelson
Registry).

Provisions as to Limitation of Area

December, 1946

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native
Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the aliena-
tion by way of transfer to and acquisition by the New Zealand
Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, of the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions
of Part XII of the Native Land Act, 1931.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 12·1 perches, more or less, situate
in the Borough of Te Kuiti, being part Lot 22 of Block X on a plan
of the Township of Te Kuiti, deposited in the Land Registry Office
at Auckland as No. 19501, and being all the land in Certificate of
Title, Volume 435, folio 262 (Auckland Registry).

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
December, 1946
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section four hundred and forty-two of the
Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby prohibit all alienation of the Native land described
in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
SCHEDULE
FIRST, all that parcel of land containing 700 acres, more or less,
situate in Block XIV, Puketapu Survey District, and Blocks II and
III, Maungaku Survey District, being part of the block known as
Puketapu 3A.
Secondly, all that parcel of land containing 670 acres, more or
less, situate in Block XIV, Puketapu Survey District, and Blocks I,
II, and III, Maungaku Survey District, being part of the block of
land known as Puketapu 3A.
Thirdly, all that parcel of land containing 45 acres, more or
less, situate in Block I, Maungaku Survey District, being part of the
block of land known as Puketapu 3B 8.
Fourthly, all that parcel of land containing 110 acres, more or
less, situate in Block XIV, Puketapu Survey District, and Blocks I
and II, Maungaku Survey District, being part of the block of land
known as Puketapu 3B 9.
Fifthly, all that parcel of land containing 30 acres, more or
less, situate in Block XIV, Puketapu Survey District, being part
of the block of land known as Puketapu 3B 10.
As the same are more particularly shown on plan N.L. 16498,
lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland, and thereon
edged red.

PURSUANT to section four hundred and forty-two of the Native
Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby vary an Order in Council made on the first day of May,
one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the
Gazette on the fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-three, at page 1223, and affecting Hautu 1B 1B 2B 1 and
other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described in the
Schedule hereto.
