City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
erecting workers’ dwellings for occupation by custodians of Corpo-
ration properties, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of sixteen eight-hundredths of a penny (¹⁶⁄₈₀₀d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of
Wellington ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly
on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the 1st day of
February, 1947, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

H. P. HUGO, LIMITED

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of
H. P. Hugo, Limited, a duly incorporated company having
its registered office at Queen Street, Masterton.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand dated the 31st day of October, 1946, confirming
the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from
£40,000 to £22,500, and the minute approved by the Court showing
with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several
particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered
by the Registrar of Companies on the 7th day of November, 1946.
The said minute is in the words and figures following :—

“ The capital of H. P. Hugo, Limited, is henceforth twenty-two
thousand five hundred pounds (£22,500), divided into two thousand
two hundred and fifty ordinary shares of ten pounds (£10) each. At
the time of registration of this minute the whole of the said ordinary
shares numbered 1 to 2250 inclusive are issued and fully paid up.”

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 232 of the
Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-
named company will be held at the registered office of the company

the 5th day of December, 1946, at 11 a.m., for the purpose of receiving
the liquidator’s final account of the winding-up of the company and

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Whangarei
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,300, authorized to be raised by Whangarei
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose
of providing works for the extension of the public water-supply of
the Borough of Whangarei by the installation of a 9 in. main exten-
sion from the end of Mill Road to the Whau Valley Reservoir, the
said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 0·094d. in each pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Whangarei ; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen
years or until the loan is paid off.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Govern-
ment Loans Board Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder, and the
Local Authorities (Temporary Housing) Emergency Regulations
1944, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £52,200, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts and regulations, for the
purpose of moving, re-erecting, and converting transit houses, and
providing roading, drainage, paths, water, gas, and electricity and
other services necessary therefor on a property owned by the
Auckland City Council in Titoki Street, Auckland, the said Auckland
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third
of one penny (⅓d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property (on the basis of the annual value) of the Auckland
City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland ; and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a
period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Victoria Park Transit Housing Loan, 1945, £14,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder, and the Local
Authorities (Temporary Housing) Emergency Regulations 1944,
the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £14,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts and regulations, for the
purpose of converting buildings and erecting them as transit houses
at Victoria Park, and providing roading, drainage, paths, water,
gas, and electricity, and other services necessary therefor, the said
Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-ninth of one penny (¹⁄₉d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property (on the basis of the annual value) of the
Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland ;
and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being for a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
