IT is hereby notified for public information that the Legation of the United States of America at Wellington has assumed the representation of Philippine interests in New Zealand.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XVI, Akatarawa Survey District, for the Purposes of the Wellington Metropolitan Water-supply
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of an accommodation camp in connection with the Wellington Metropolitan water-supply—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Upper Hutt and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 5 acres 0 roods 12 perches.
Being part of Section 10, Pakuratahi District.
Situated in Block XVI, Akatarawa Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124511, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IN pursuance of section 10 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to license David Thomas Spring, Esquire, of Palmerston North, to act as a public auditor under the Friendly Societies Act, 1909.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Church Bay Extension No. 1, affecting Rural Section 243E, situated in Block IV, Halswell Survey District, Canterbury Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown as Stoddart Terrace thereon should be of the width of 66 ft.:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the road shown as Stoddart Terrace of a width of not less than 50 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Opotiki Abattoir District.(Notice No. Ag. 4352)

PURSUANT to section 15 (7) of the Meat Act, 1939, notice is hereby given as follows:—
(1) That by deed of delegation of date the 11th day of July, 1944, made between the Opotiki Borough Council and the Opotiki County Council of the one part and the Opotiki Bacon Company, Limited, of the other part, the said Councils, acting in combination, agreed to delegate to the said company their power to establish and maintain an abattoir for the abattoir district defined in the said deed, to be known as the “Opotiki Abattoir District”;
(2) That the Opotiki Abattoir District defined as aforesaid shall comprise all that area described in the Schedule hereto; and
(3) That the Opotiki Bacon Company, Limited, shall be the controlling authority of the abattoir for the purposes of the said abattoir district.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OPOTIKI ABATTOIR DISTRICT
ALL that area for the time being comprised in the Borough of Opotiki, and also all that area comprised in the Waiotahi and Waioeka Ridings of the County of Opotiki, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 15 of the 7th day of March, 1929, at page 529.

Marton Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, Amendment No. 1
PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—
- This notice may be cited as the Marton Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Marton Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).
- The agreement has been amended by transferring all customers in the Marton Junction area east of the Tutaenui Stream, with the exception of Station Road to Ngareta Street, from E. R. and L. W. B. Klitscher to V. W. Doull.
- Clause 4 of the principal scheme is amended by adding to the list of names and addresses of the vendors of milk and cream the words “V. W. Doull, Porewa R.D., Marton.”

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—
- This notice may be cited as the Havelock North Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Havelock North Milk Delivery Notice 1942† (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
- Clause 3 of the principal notice is hereby amended as follows:— By revoking the words “R. G. Patterson, Heretaunga Street, Hastings, Mrs. Ogg, Napier Road, Havelock North, R. Berrigan, Norton Road, Hastings,” and substituting the words “W. R. Frethey, Karamu Settlement Road, Hastings,” in each case.
