ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of
November, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native
Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
authorize the acquisition by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile
Agency Company, Limited, and the Farmers' Co-operative Auction-
eering Company, Limited, of the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto, or any interest therein, notwithstanding the provisions of
Part XII of the Native Land Act, 1931.
SCHEDULE
FIRST, all that parcel of land containing 9 acres 1 rood 25 perches,
more or less, situate in Block IV, Otanake Survey District, being
part of the block of land known as Pukenui 2D 3G. As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the Land
Registry Office at Auckland as No. 11116.
Secondly, all that parcel of land containing 11 acres 1 rood
19·6 perches, more or less, situate in Block XI, Otanake Survey
District, being the blocks of land known as Kinohaku East 4B 3A
and Kinohaku East 4B 3B 2A.

Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of
November, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set
apart and reserve the Native freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Native reservation for the common use of the Ngatirangi,
Ngatikiriahi, Whanauwai, Ngatimau, and Te Uritaniwha hapus as
a meeting-place and marae.

Varying an Order in Council prohibiting Alienation of Native Land

PURSUANT to section four hundred and forty-two of the Native
Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby vary an Order in Council made on the fourteenth day of
March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published
in the Gazette on the seventeenth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-two, at page 546, and affecting Hauhungaroa
la l and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described
in the Schedule hereto.

Altering u Polling-place under the Electoral Act, 1927

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me
by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard
Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby alter the polling-place as shown against the
electoral district the name of which is specified in the following
Schedule.
SCHEDULE
TIMARU ELECTORAL DISTRICT
Timaru, Wilson Street, St. Michael's Sunday School,
to be altered to
Timaru, Wilson Street, No. 36, Mr. F. Chittock's Garage.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 13th day of November, 1946.

Declaring Crown Land in the Canterbury Land District to be subject
to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (here-
after referred to as the said land) is Crown land
not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but is
adjacent to the settlement land known as the Craigmore Settlement
and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act,
and on the recommendation of the Land Settlement Board, and
after considering the report of the Canterbury District Land Board,
do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act, to the
intent that it shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said
Craigmore Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 566 acres
2 roods 20 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks IV and VIII of
the Nimrod Survey District and Block I of the Otaio Survey District,
being Lot 1 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christ-
church as No. 4095, and being Rural Sections 19521, 21813, and
part Rural Sections 18951, 19072, 19073, 19519, 19520, 19522,
21640, 21642, 21814, 21817, 24646, and 24647. As the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/1562/1,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 5th day of November, 1946.

Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the fourth day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in
the Gazette on the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-two, at page 735, and affecting Hauturu East B 2
Section 2A 1A and other blocks by excluding therefrom the lands
described in the Schedule hereto.
