Price Order No. 626 (Amending Price Order No. 560) (Canned
Herrings)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of
Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal,
acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce,
doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :-

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 626, and shall
be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 560β
(hereinafter referred to as principal Order). -
This Order shall come into force on the 8th day of November,
-
Clause 4 of the principal Order is hereby amended as
follows :-
(a) By omitting "17s. 9d." from paragraph (a), and substit-
tuting "18s. 4d." :
(b) By omitting "18s. 3d." from paragraph (b), and substit-
tuting "19s." -
Clause 5 of the principal Order is hereby amended as
follows :-
(a) By omitting "2s. 2d." from paragraph (a), and substi-
tuting "2s. 3d." :
(b) By omitting "2s. 3d." from paragraph (b), and substi-
tuting "2s. 4d."

a license to operate a new pharmacy near the intersection of Barring-
ton Street and Somerfield Street, Christchurch.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
C. E. H. Cornish and E. H. Tweedy, Springston, have applied
for a license to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed
on garage premises, Springston.
Rink Taxis, Ltd., 47 Chester Street, Christchurch, has applied
for permission to transfer the license in respect of two pumps from
102 Armagh Street to 47 Chester Street, Christchurch.
Carswell and Co., Ltd., P.O. Box 85, Invercargill, has applied
for licenses to resell motor-spirit in drum-lots from the depots of
Shell, Vacuum, Caltex, and Associated Motorists, Invercargill.
J. P. and J. M. Griffin, Naike, via Te Kauwhata, have applied
for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on
carrier's premises situated at Naike.
E. P. Taylor, Nukuhou, Lake Taupo, has applied for a license to
resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on premises,
Nukuhou, Lake Taupo.
R. W. Coughlan, Post-office Store, Piriaka, has applied for a
license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store
premises, Piriaka.
A. C. Anderson, Niagara, has applied for a license to resell
motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on premises, Niagara,
such pump to be transferred from the premises of National Mortgage
and Agency, Ltd., Waikawa.
R. Chatfield, Bute Road, Browns Bay, has applied for a license
to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage
premises, Bute Road, Browns Bay.
A. S. Johnston, Woodend, North Canterbury, has applied for
a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on
garage premises, Woodend.
F. Page, Maungaturoto, has applied for a license to resell motor-
sprit from one pump to be installed on premises, Maungaturoto, and
otherwise than through pumps ex the Railway-station, Maungatu-
to.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than the 21st day of November,
1946, submit any written evidence and representations they may
desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the
Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935
PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935,
notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the
New Zealand Law Society on the 19th day of September, 1946,
ordered that Alexander Duncan McRae be suspended from practice
as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand
for a period of three years as from the 19th day of September, 1946,
and that he pay fifty guineas costs and disbursements.
