the said sum shall be repaid by half-yearly redemption of debentures
in the half-years set out in the first column of the Schedule hereunder
of the amounts set opposite each half year in the third column of
the said Schedule. Each redemption includes a repayment of
principal of the amount set opposite each half-year in the second
column of the said Schedule and a half-year's interest on the
amount of principal outstanding immediately prior to the date of
payment of such instalment.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
October, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment
Act, 1945, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by the New
Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, a company
duly incorporated in London and having its head office for New
Zealand in Wellington, of one-quarter interest in the land described
in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII
of the Land Act, 1924.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 22 acres and 28 perches, being Kohe-
whata 6A Block, situated in Block XV, Omapere Survey District,
and being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 258, folio 160

Varying an Order in Council prohibiting Alienation of Native Land

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
October, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section forty-three of the Native Land Amend-
ment Act, 1936, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby vary the Order in Council made on the twentieth day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and pub-
lished in the Gazette on the thirtieth day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-three, at page 572, and affecting Mahoenui
1B 1 and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described
in the Schedule hereto.

hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act,
1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and
declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule
hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices
stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are
authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the
three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act,

Additional Members appointed to the Hutchinson Scenic Board

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the eighth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and published
in the Gazette of the sixteenth day of that month, the control of a
certain reserve in the Hawke's Bay Land District, known as the
Hutchinson Scenic Reserves, was vested in certain persons therein
named who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board,
by the name of the Hutchinson Scenic Board, in pursuance of
section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:
And whereas it is desirable that Gordon Holt and Eric David
Carswell should be appointed as additional members of the said
Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation
Act, 1908, doth hereby appoint the said
Gordon Holt and
Eric David Carswell
to be additional members of the Hutchinson Scenic Board constituted
by the Warrant dated the eighth day of September, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-three, hereinbefore referred to.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 5th day of November, 1946.
