AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

CREMATORIUM LOAN, 1946, £82,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £82,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of erecting a new crematorium at Waikumete Cemetery, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁹⁄₂₀ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the annual value) of the Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 17th day of October, 1946.

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand six hundred pounds (£1,600), authorized to be raised by the Waipukurau Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting transit houses, the said Waipukurau Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-two one-hundredths of a penny (42/100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipukurau (on the basis of the unimproved value); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at the meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council held on the 21st day of October, 1946.
