I, BETTY MALAH PEARSON, of 20 Raumati Road, Remuera, Auckland, Clerk, give public notice that I have assumed and from henceforth on all occasions intend to sign and use and to be called and be known by the name of DINGLE in place of my name of PEARSON, and, further, that such intended change of name is formally declared and evidenced by a deed-poll under my hand and seal bearing date the 17th day of October, 1946, and enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland on the 18th day of October, 1946.

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Upper Takaka Reticulation Loan, 1945

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Golden Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Golden Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reticulating that part of the Board’s district described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 41, dated 14th June, 1945, page 645, and known as the Upper Takaka Special-rating Area, the said Golden Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence halfpenny (2½d.) in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the said Upper Takaka Special-rating Area of the Golden Bay Electric-power Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Golden Bay Electric-power Board at a duly constituted meeting held on the 30th day of August, 1946.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


In the matter of the WAIREWA COUNTY COUNCIL and in the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and in the matter of the KINLOCH RIDING ROADING LOAN, 1946, £2,750.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, the Wairewa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,750, authorized by a poll of ratepayers of the Kinloch Riding of the Wairewa County to be raised by the said county under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the contribution of the Council towards the cost of grading, drainage, metalling, and construction of roads in the Kinloch Riding, the Wairewa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·349d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Kinloch Riding of the said county; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan for a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Frank Coop, of Kaituna, Farmer, Chairman of the Wairewa County Council, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Wairewa County Council on the 14th day of October, 1946.

HOUSING LOAN, 1946


NOTICE is hereby given of the following resolution to proceed with the raising of the above-named loan, providing for its currency and form of debentures, and pledging and appropriating the special rate:—

“1. That the Dannevirke Borough Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on the said Council by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and in pursuance of the consent of the Governor-General in Council given by Order in Council made pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, dated the 11th day of September, 1946, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 19th day of September, 1946, and in pursuance of a special order passed by the said Council on the 16th day of September, 1946, and in pursuance of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling the said Council in that behalf, doth hereby resolve to proceed with the raising of the Housing Loan, 1946, of £2,200.
