Lights has been altered to 26 seconds.

Notice to Mariners No. 37 of 1946

THE following Admiralty Notice No. 2672 of 1946 is published
herewith for the general information of mariners :
INFORMATION ABOUT LIGHTS ON CERTAIN CHARTS
(1) In future, abridged descriptions of lights will be omitted on
all small-scale charts, which are of a scale 1:200,000 or less, but each
principal light will be indicated by a light-star, together with the
name of the light or light-vessel. In cases where the light has no
name, the abbreviation "Lt." will be inserted against the light-star.
(2) In the inner waterways of the Baltic and Scandinavian
countries, where the scale of the chart does not admit of the details
of lights being shown, the position of such lights will be indicated by
a light-star and the abbreviation "Lt." of "Ldg Lts".

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and
authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust
Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, the Public Trustee of the
Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Donald Campbell, of
the Public Trust Office, Wellington, to be deputy of the District
Public Trustee, Auckland, during the absence of such District
Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all
previous Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District
Public Trustee have been revoked.

New Zealand Emergency Standard Specification amended
NOTICE is given of the issue of Amendment No. 3 (dated
October, 1946) to the New Zealand Emergency Standard
Specification entitled “Grades of Meat for Sale on the Local Market
and Definitions of Joints and Cuts” bearing date July, 1943, and
numbered N.Z.S.S. E. 79, which is cited in the Board of Trade
(Meat Grading) Regulations 1943.* The said amendment shall
come into force upon the expiry of seven days following the date
of publication of this notice in the Gazette.
Copies of the specification as amended may be obtained from
the Secretary, New Zealand Standards Institute, 201 Lambton
Quay, Wellington C. 1, price 1s. per copy (post free). Each person
who has already purchased a copy of the specification is entitled
to a copy of the amendment free of charge.
