Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Takanini Domain

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of October, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
The Manukau County Council
to be the Takanini Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, at twelve o’clock noon as the time when, and the Manukau County Council Chambers, Auckland, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TAKANINI DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 11·84 perches, more or less, being Lots 35 and 36, subdivision of part Lots 1 and 2, Takanini’s Grant, shown on a plan numbered 16792, and deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/972A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 4 on Plan No. 15512, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and being part Lot 10, Takanini’s Grant, Papakura Parish, situated in Block XIV, Otahuhu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/972B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. The Franklin County Council
to be the Te Toro Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, at eleven o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the Franklin County Council Chambers, Roulston Street, Pukekohe, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Revoking the Reservation over an Endowment for the Improvement of the Kawhia Harbour in Kawhia South Survey District, Auckland Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of October, 1946

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation as an endowment for the improvement of the Kawhia Harbour over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Kawhia County, containing by admeasurement 6,266 acres 2 roods and 21 perches, more or less, being part Section 1, Block VII, Section 3, Block VIII, and Sections 2, 4, 5, and parts 3, and 7, Block XII, Kawhia South Survey District, and being the residue of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 158, folio 262 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 44271, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Appointing Two Members and the Chairman of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council

PURSUANT to sections three and four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint William Langston Newnham, of the staff of the Ministry of Works, as representing the Commissioner of Works, and John William Andrews, of Lower Hutt, Joinery Merchant, as representing Borough Councils and Town Boards, to be members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council for a term commencing on the seventeenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, and terminating on the eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and do also appoint the said William Langston Newnham to be the Chairman of the Council.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of October, 1946.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section two of the Timber-floating Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the undermentioned river may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act.

THAT portion of the Weiti (Wade) River between an imaginary straight line drawn opposite the western boundary of Allotment 173, Waiwera Parish, Block XI, Waiwera Survey District, and the sea, and including therein all tributaries between the starting and finishing points. As the same is more particularly delineated on plans marked L. and S. 27/331A and L. and S. 27/331B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
William George Jarvis
to be a member of the Napier Harbour Board, as a representative of the electors of the combined district of the Taradale Town District and the Meance Riding of the County of Hawke’s Bay, in the place of Edward Hill Limbrick, deceased, to hold office until the day of the next election for members of Harbour Boards.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of October, 1946.
