CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD
DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT LOAN, £20,000, 1946
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 9
of the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Act, 1921,
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers it enabling,
the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves, by way of special
order, as follows :—
“1. That the said Board authorizes the raising of a loan of
£20,000 for the part purchase of thirteen omnibuses for service
on approved routes.
“2. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said
loan shall not exceed three pounds (£3) per centum per annum,
and shall be paid in New Zealand.
“3. That the said sum of £20,000 shall be repayable in New
Zealand on due date.
“4. That provision for the repayment thereof be made by
establishing a sinking fund of eleven pounds two shillings and
elevenpence (£11 2s. 11d.) per centum per annum, calculated on
the amount borrowed.
“5. That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid
out of loan-money.
“6. That the security for the said loan shall be a special rate
to provide interest and sinking fund thereon.
“7. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund on the said loan of £20,000, the Christchurch Tramway Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one seven
five nine three eight pence (0·0175938d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property of the Christchurch Tramway District, comprising the
whole of the said district, the boundaries of which are defined in
the Schedule to the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1920, as
amended by subsection (3) of section 9 of the Christchurch Tramway
District Amendment Act, 1932–33; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 31st March in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight years or
until the loan is fully paid off.
“8. That it is hereby directed that the said rate be levied
and collected by the Christchurch City Council, the Riccarton
Borough Council, and the Waimairi, Paparua, Heathcote, and
Halswell County Councils respectively within their respective
districts.
“The Christchurch Tramway Board, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1926, the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1920, and all
other powers it enabling, hereby further resolves, by way of special
order,—
“That, until further resolution of the Board, the interest and
sinking fund on the said Development and Improvement Loan of
£20,000 be paid out of the Board’s General Fund.”
The above special order was made on the 26th day of August,
1946, and confirmed on the 30th day of September, 1946.

MANGAORAPA LIMITED
IN LIQUIDATION

of MANGAORAPA LIMITED (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution
was duly passed by the above-named company on the 27th
day of September, 1946 :—
“Resolved, as a special resolution in accordance with section
221 (b) of the Companies Act, 1933—
“(a) That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“(b) That Mr. N. B. FIPPARD, of Hastings, be and is hereby
appointed liquidator of the company.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership between GERALD
THOMAS MEAD SAMSON, of Wellington, and ALEXANDER
SIMPSON, of Lower Hutt, Builders, has been dissolved by mutual
consent as from the 1st day of August, 1946, inclusive.
The said ALEXANDER SIMPSON, who is continuing the business
in his own name at Lower Hutt, will be responsible for the payment
of all debts due by the partnership (exclusive of any taxes payable
by G. T. M. Samson up to date of dissolution), and will receive all
moneys due to the partnership.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS
ACT, 1928
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works
Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work—namely, an access way or road
to the Orewa Beach, Wainui Riding—and for the purpose of such
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Clerk of the said Council, situated at the Council Chambers, 1 Princes
Street, Auckland, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all
persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objec-
tions to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the
same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice,
to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of parcel of land required to be taken: 1 rood
3·6 perches.
Being portion of Section No. Lot 4, D.P. 20781, being part Allot-
ment 95, Parish of Waiwera.
Situate in Block VII, Waiwera Survey District, and coloured
yellow on plan.
All of the land being situate in the County of Waitemata and
the Land District of Auckland.

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS
ACT, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District
of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the
Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment
of a public school, the following land—namely, all that piece of
land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing
two roods (2 roods), more or less, being part Lot 3 on a plan deposited
in the Land Registry Office at Gisborne as No. 14521 (Auckland),
which said piece of land is portion of Allotment 324 of Section 2
of the Town of Opotiki, and is the balance of the land comprised
and described in certificate of title, Vol. 71, folio 221 (Gisborne
Registry).
A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Opotiki
and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to
set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of
such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District
of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the
Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the members
of the above company will be held in the offices of Messrs. Mitson,
Bell, and Company, 24 Water Street, Dunedin, on Monday, 28th
October, 1946, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of
having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner
in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and
the assets disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may
be required from the liquidator.
