These sections are all good building-sites with an easterly aspect, and are situated in Elliott Street and Nelson Street, Howick, about 100 yards from the main road and bus route and approximately one mile from the Howick Township. The sections are at present in grass, with a small amount of gorse and blackberry starting to show in places. All sections, except 250 and 251, have a frontage to a metalled road. The local body will provide formed access to these two as soon as buildings are erected on same. The areas are provisional pending completion of survey.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves are open for selection on renewable lease under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and section 6 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1944; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to noon on Monday, 18th November, 1946.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 19th November, 1946, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The sections are situated in Margate Road, Avondale, one and a quarter miles from Avondale Railway-station, close to main Blockhouse Bay Road and bus. The sections are level to undulating, mostly in gorse and scrub. The soil is clay resting on clay formation; water and electricity are available.

  • Subject to slight alteration on compilation of plan and subject to existing tramway rights of Endean's Mill. Twenty-one years from 10th February, 1928.

Weighted with £210 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising dwelling, sheds, cow-shed, and fencing; all in poor condition.

This property is situated on the Okauaka Road, nine miles from Waimiha Post-office, Railway-station, School, and Cream-collection Depot. Access is by metalled road. Soil is light loam and pumice resting on rhyolite formation; watered by springs and creeks. 60 acres practically flat and 246 acres hilly and undulating, all reverted to fern and manuka. 80 acres rough and broken. The property is badly infested with ragwort, and is considered suitable for working in conjunction with other land in the locality.

SECTION 7: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £120; half-yearly rent, £3.

This section is situated in Levin Township, half a mile from the post-office and approximately one mile from the school and railway-station. It is a level area of good-quality soil, watered by the borough supply, and would make a good building-site.
