PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public domain described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for housing purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from His Majesty the King by Cowan McKinnon, of Aukopae, Farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 22A, folio 89 (Wellington Registry), is hereby taken for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.

Declaring Lands in the Canterbury Land District to be subject to the Provisions of Section 23 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands of the Crown to be subject to the provisions of that section to enable certain readjustment of leases and licenses to be carried into effect:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be subject to the provisions of the said section:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by subsection one of the aforesaid section twenty-three, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare, that from and after the date of gazetting hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the said section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of September, 1946

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the Borough of Waipukurau and included in the County of Waipukurau:

And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that the said area be excluded from the Borough of Waipukurau and included in the County of Waipukurau:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of boundaries recommended by the said Commission:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Waipukurau and included in the County of Waipukurau.
