Revocation of Appointment of certain Garage-proprietors for Issue of Warrants of Fitness

IN terms of Regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, James O’Brien, Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke the approval of the person and firm described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the issue of warrants of fitness for motor-vehicles.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades

Office of the Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 29th January, 1946.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.

Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st February to 28th February, 1946:—

Loose packed fresh lemons, Preferred Commercial Grade .. 9 6
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade .. 8 0
Loose packed fresh lemons, First-grade Peel .. 4 9
Loose packed fresh lemons, Second-grade Peel .. 3 2

Fixing Date on which certain Returns under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, are to be furnished

PURSUANT to section 28 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, it is hereby notified that every owner of property to whom subsection (2) of the said section applies shall transmit to the Fire Boards concerned, on or before the 8th day of March, 1946, a return showing the total amount of premiums paid in respect of fire insurance by that owner for the year ended 31st December, 1945.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Mosgiel

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 30th January, 1946.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Mosgiel and included in the County of Taieri.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF MOSGIEL AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF TAIERI

ALL that area containing 129 acres 2 roods and 9·5 poles, more or less, being parts of Sections 4, 5, and 6, Block VI, East Taieri Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment 94, Mossburn Estate, and Renton’s Road to D.P. 3697, 3117·9 links; towards the south-east by Block IV, D.P. 3697, 1500 links; towards the south-west by Allotment 7, Block III, D.P. 3697, 5·0 links; again towards the south-east by Blocks III, II, D.P. 3697, a crossing of a railway reserve, and Block I, D.P. 3697, 2145·5 links; towards the south-west and south-east by D.P. 4285, 512·0 links and 600 links respectively; again towards the south-west by part Section 6, Block VI, East Taieri Survey District, Block V, D.P. 3697, and again part of Section 6, 2614·0 links; and towards the north-west by part said Section 6, 60·6 links, D.P. 4560, 1088·4 links, the crossing of a railway reserve and D.P. 4560, 1597·2 links and 1499·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
