Settlement Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Waipawa County, containing by admeasurement 862 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, and being Section 2, Block XII, Wakarara Survey District (Gwavas Settlement). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 79/3, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of September, 1946.

Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitations of Area

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of September, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Jack Herbert Mathias, of Waipiata, Farmer, of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

Authorizing the Acquisition of Native Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of September, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the alienation by way of transfer to and acquisition by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the Native Land Act, 1931.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 1 rood 2 perches, more or less, situate in the Takahue Survey District, being Lot 1 on the plan lodged in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 32866, being part of the block of land called Konoti A 5 South 2b 1b.

Varying an Order in Council prohibiting Alienation of Native Land

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of September, 1946

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary the Order in Council made on the seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, and published in the Gazette on the twentieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, at page 1162, and affecting Kinohaku West E 1b 2 and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

Fixing the Dates and Places for Payment of Land-tax and Income-tax

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of September, 1946

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1946, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the respective duties leviable under the said Acts by way of land-tax and income-tax shall be paid on the days and dates set forth hereunder:—

Land-tax under section two of the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1946: In one sum on Friday, the fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.

Income-tax under section three of the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1946: In one sum on Wednesday, the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the said duties of land-tax and income-tax shall be payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office, and that notice to the aforegoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.
