A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed; 1 acre 1 rood 34 perches.

Adjoining Lot 2, D.P. 7930 (part Rural Section 5201), and part Rural Section 3657.

Situated in Block IX, Leeston Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7679.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123833, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of September, 1946.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block III, Uawa Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Gisborne - Te Araroa Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road in Block III, Uawa Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Gisborne - Te Araroa Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the existing No. 24 Gisborne - Te Araroa Main Highway opposite the south-eastern corner of Mangatuna 1c 4 Block, Block III, Uawa Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction and thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 96 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over Mangatuna 1c 1A, 1D 2H, 1D 2C, 1D 2F 2, 1D 2F 1, 1D 2E, 1D 2D, 1D 2C, 1A, 1D 3, and Kopuatarakihi 2C and 2A Blocks, Block III, Uawa Survey District, and terminating at a point on the existing main highway approximately 16 chains north-west of the Native School Reserve western boundary and approximately 26 chains from the junction of the Uawa and Waiapu County boundary, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Gisborne Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124178, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks III, VI, VII, and XI, Whakamaru Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Whakamaru Road—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the Whakamaru Road, marked “12 miles,” approximately 5 chains south of the northern boundary of part of Whakamaru-Maungaiti G No. 6 Block, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly and south-easterly direction generally for a distance of six miles approximately, and passing in, into, through, or over parts of Whakamaru-Maungaiti Blocks G No. 6 (C.T. 47/165, 224/26, and 230/167); G No. 5 (C.T. 610/66); G No. 4 (C.T. 458/290); G No. 3 (C.T. 614/182); G No. 2 (C.T. 646/3); G No. 1 (C.T. 38/36), the aforementioned blocks all being more particularly shown as Lot 2 on D.P. 20269; and part of Whakamaru-Maungaiti Block shown on D.P. 19833 (C.T. 646/3), and terminating at a point on the Waikato River approximately 60 chains downstream from the bridge known as the Whakamaru Bridge which crosses the Waikato River, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Auckland Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123573, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A—B.

PURSUANT to section four hundred and fifty of the Native Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Native land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in His Majesty the King.

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—BOROUGH OF PAEROA

ALL that area containing 3 roods 2·2 perches, being part Hararaki No. 1 Block, Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 30/228/47, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation: Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hobson County, containing by admeasurement 2 roods and 16 perches, more or less, being Section 38, Block III, Kaihu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 31/495, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 14961.)
