A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, containing by admeasurement 1,106 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Sections 4, 5, 8, 10, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, Block III, Akatore Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 215/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of September, 1946.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for historic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be an historic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 109 (Ripa Island), situated in Block I, Pigeon Bay Survey District: Area, 4 acres, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of September, 1946.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ohura Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of September, 1946

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

John Gilchrist Clark,
George Denison,
Herbert Lindsay Craven,
Robert McClaren Boyd,
Joseph Henry Freeman,
Audus Nathaniel MacClure,
Patrick Joseph O'Connor,
William James Rice, and
Tom Erroll Llewellyn Shute

to be the Ohura Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, at two o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Ohura County Chambers, Ohura, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—OHURA DOMAIN

ALL that area containing 10 acres 0 roods 27·04 perches, more or less, being part Section 31, Block V, Ohura Survey District: Bounded towards the north, east, and south by the Mangakara Stream, and towards the south-west and west by Section 33, Block V, Ohura Survey District, 134·3 links, and Mangaroa–Tongaporutu Road, 1107·97 links.

Also all that area containing 13 acres 0 roods 7 perches, more or less, being part Section 32, Block V, Ohura Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by the Mangakara Stream and the Mangaroa River; towards the south-west by Section 39, Block V, Ohura Survey District, 1325 links, and by Section 35, Block V, Ohura Survey District, 50 links; and towards the west and north-west by Mangaroa–Tongaporutu Road, 61·46 links, and Section 34, Block V, Ohura Survey District, 1192·5 links.

Also all that area containing 3 acres 1 rood 3·3 perches, more or less, being part Section 1, Block XXII, Town of Ohura: The western portion is bounded towards the north by the Mangaroa River; towards the east by the Stratford–Main Trunk Railway, 127·65 links; and towards the south and west by the Mangaroa–Tongaporutu Road, 1059·86 links. The eastern portion is bounded towards the north by the Mangaroa River; towards the east and south by the Mangaroa–Tongaporutu Road, 1195·34 links; and towards the west by the Stratford–Main Trunk Railway, 178·35 links.

Also Section 33, Block V, Ohura Survey District: Area, 3 roods 28 perches, more or less.
